The Economy Is Really Rebounding!

Really Hilton? Go back to what you know and tell us what kind of panty's Lady GaGa is wearing. You can't possibly be celebrating the fact that 'only' 434 thousand people filed for unemployment this week. And that doesn't account for all the recent grads who can't find jobs ( and will hopefully vote the right way this time around ). By all economists accounts this recession should have ended in spring of '09 but Obama policies of spend and tax have de-railed that.

Wow! Talk about total BS! Yes jobless claims are down, but what about the 1.7 million people currently STILL unemployed that have exhausted all their unemployment benefits and are no longer counted in the equation. Where does that number come into play? A national rate of unemployement of around 9 % try 18 % , if the numbers that were reported were anywhere near accurate, I don't think so many would be shouting from the roof tops that the economy is rebounding. Just another glass of Kool-Aid that they all want us to sip from.

ur an idiot.. unemployment is at 9.5%, underemployment close to 13.. the economy is in horrible shape. This is the longest extended unemp;oyment period since the great depression and theres no evidence of it rebounding. Those are initial jobless claims, which should have been positive over a year ago with a standard recovery.

Aside from the unemployment comments, what about the report out today that says foreclosures are up? More homeless = less economy, not more. Don't believe the "economy's improving" propaganda.

How can you be so gullible? One thing put out by the lying government, contrary to ALL other indicators, right before the election and you believe it? You've got the crazy liberal gene Perez! No logic!

Perez, stick to Celebrity Gossip. We all enjoy it (obviously) but please don't pretent to know how to disect so-called economic indicators. The US economy is absolutely NOT rebounding nor will it for the next couple of years. As a matter of fact, it is going to get worse before it gets better. These are simply the facts. People are going to have to work twice as hard to make 1/2 as much in the future - and the jobs won't be there unless US companies invest in capital intensive vs labor intensive businesses (so obviously, taxing the crap out of them isn't the answer). These growing pains are NOT over - not even close. Buckle down, go without, reduce your "needs", stop spending, start saving and WORK harder and longer than you ever have before. THAT'S the message you should be sending!!

"The Economy Is Rebounding?" Really? How is the economy recovering may I inquire? Maybe the economy is looking good for the fat cats in Washington, D.C. who've managed to find yet another way to line their pockets with its citizen's money through stealing our Social Security benefits, but the economy is not improving for the average citizen.

I lost my job over a year ago and though trying in earnest to find another job, I've been living on unemployment benefits ever since. I'm on extended benefits now and who knows how long that will last? Jobs are almost nonexistent in my area; and those that are require one to be trained in a particular field or take a job as restaurant staff. If one is elderly you might as well call it quits because no employer wants to hire you.

So I ask again Mr. Perez… how is the economy rebounding when your aveage citizen has no job and/or can't find one?
