Looks like Conan's getting yet another way to say HAH! to NBC.
Rates for commercials on Conan's new show, despite being on TBS, will run for $30,000 to $40,000 for 30 seconds, which is in the same ballpark as commercial rates for Leno and Letterman.
Here's what Conan's manager Gavin Polone had to say about ad space on the new show:
“The whole concept of paying differently always eluded me. Why is a 27-year-old male with $70,000 income more valuable if he’s watching Conan on NBC than if he’s watching Conan on TBS?”
We'll be curious to see which advertisers will shell out for commercials on Conan's TBS show.
Would U want your commercial to run during Conan's new show? Or do U still think Leno and Letterman will attract more audiences?
