Eminem Gets Stoned

Somewhere underneath that inconspicuous gray hoodie is Eminem. Or at least that's who Rolling Stone says it is, anyway.

In the upcoming issue Marshall Mathers dishes on his addiction to prescription drugs, women, being abandoned by his dad at 6 months old and his musical comeback.

Sounds juicy and revealing!

We can't wait to read it.

one trick pony! All his songs are just him screaming. Boring and dated.

  7. 7

Really? You wouldn't have recognized him without being told who it was?

Re: jackalexandria – I know, right? He always shouts in his songs as though he is in the middle of a fire in a 6 story building. He's done for sure.

Re: Midnight Empress – "he ALWAYS shouts in his songs….maybe you should listen to his 5 other albums before Recovery - you know he's actually had a great career b4 that.

Re: OpinionatedasFvck – Em doesn't wanna talk about this stuff over and over again.it's not his fault interviewers ask him the same questions…
Re: sockie – stfu last time I checked.eminem has the best selling album this year and infact the most relevant artist right now and the artist of the decade

    Anyways,I'm so buying this!!!
Annnd he's not always shouting.his voice changed because of drugs .he doesn't have this deep rough voice in his first 6 albums.

Great photgraph. I don't like rap, but I do think Eminem is very talented at what he does. I do see his next level as a serious actor. He will be around for a long time.

eminem is a lyrical genius.. depsite the shouting.. vocal tone.. all that crap.. his ryhmes are impecable.. and although sometimes dark and down right sick.. he does have a eloquent way of making words flow… Just sayin

    Yeah, I'll pick it up.
I want to know more about how he beat the pills and the booze. And as for how he feels about women, I imagine he feels the same way I do about men. ;)
This guy hits a nerve with me… sometimes I totally dig what he has to say, and other times, I want to break his jaw. I can respect that he has a "no-holds-barred" approach to expressing himself (how many people say what they want to say, in the moment, pretty much all of the time?)… but at the same time, I wonder how many people actually get this, rather than assume that every single word out of his mouth is his own truth?
I mean, I HATE "Love The Way You Lie," and still do. Not because it's a bad song, but because I've LIVED that song, and watching the video was like watching ME in 2005. Does the song mean, however, that Eminem has lived this? Or is he writing about something he resonates with… or fears…?
And THAT's why I'll read the article: Some people can take slivers off of themselves, and make them into full stories that veer off from their original intent. And some people can live as another person would, for a single moment, and write THEIR stories as though they were their own. And yet other people can peel off layers of themselves like an onion, with each layer contradicting or enhancing the next, even though it's all from the same onion.
So… pschologically speaking, I'd like to peel this onion.
(haha… making pasta for dinner, so I've got onions on the mind.)
