JoBros Vs. Jason Mraz

| Filed under: Music MinuteJonas BrothersJason Mraz

It seems that the Jonas Brothers' Camp Rock 2 song Introduce Me sounds a LOT like Jason Mraz's I'm Yours.

So much so, that he commented on it, but legal action isn't in the cards!

Mraz said:

"I heard the song, and it was just a tremendous, tremendous horror of a tune. I noticed a few similarities in the melody, but it wasn't enough to pick up the phone and argue with somebody about it. If anything, I just wanted my $1.29 back that I spent on iTunes."

Wowsa! Do U think the JoBros stole the song?!

Mraz and Jonas both suck it hard. Nuff said.

  2. 102

similar, but NBD I think. Not enough to comment upon…I think that he was just looking for a bit of attention.

  3. 103

geez.. jonas bro fans to rescue huh? stfu already we get the fucking point, the jonas brothers didn't write it.. damn do you read the other comments we don't need it repeated that many fucking times.. and if they do sound the same then he has a right to say what he wants and criticize it.. it's his fucking song! that he wrote! Bunch of bratz know nothing.. and p.s. jonas didn't start any fucking trend

Re: Emily Nicole Johnson – doesn't that mean that the jonas brothers are then more popular than jason mraz…? which means you have just proved half of the "jobro loving teens" right? …. you say that none of the jonas fans would even know who jason mraz was if it werent for this post?? Yet, allllll of you seem to know of the jonas brothers and can probably name all three of them when you are not even a fan.

    .. just saying.

  5. 105

Its really annoying to see all of these ignorant people saying "Jonas Brothers have no talent so thats why they stole this peice"
like no, im sure you haven't heard anything by them. They are really relaly really talented.
And not that Jason Mraz isnt, but i lost so much respect for him when he just blatantly attacked them.
And perez, how would you not know that Nick didnt write this song?

Re: thoughts2am – jason mraz may have many songs.. but only like two or three have ever really been big. and yeah if it came down to im yours and introducing me … jason would win. without a doubt. . introducing me isnt even a jonas song! im yours was and still is jason's biggest song. . compare that to a huge song by the jonas brothers and lets see who has more sales? or lets compare who had better record sales period. . or sold out concerts?? it's going to be jonas brothers.. hands down!

YOU ALL NEED TO SHUT UP!!! First of all, I am NOT A CHILD! I am 18 years old and in college…not a 12 year old. So stop treating me like it! Also, I like Jason Mraz and the Jonas Brothers. But I like the Jonas Brothers better because they are cuter, nicer, and have more hits. You all need to relax and get a LIFE! I know that Ray Bans were invented a long time ago. But trends come and go…they brought that trend back. Ray Bans and now "nerdy chic" glasses are popular because of the JoBros. They start many trends…I never said they invented them! God. Also, the Jonas Brothers did not write this song. It was written by Disney for the movie Camp Rock 2. The song is not dumb and isn't stolen from Jason Mraz. The song goes perfectly with Nick's character. You should see the song in the movie before you judge it. Also, Jason Mraz is very talented but he needs to relax. THEY DID NOT STEAL IT!! Plus, I know he is still trying to make money from his one hit, but that song is over. STOP TRYING TO BRING IT BACK!! Also, why the heck is he so mad? If he is so mad that he paid $1.29 for the song, then he shouldn't have boughten it. EVERY HEARD OF YOUTUBE???? He is just trying to bring attention to himself. JONAS BROTHERS ROCK :)

Re: JonasCutie247 – wrong! the jobros are NOT attractive. they are a year away from being nobodies.

  9. 109

    Re: JonasCutie247

Lmao he's not mad, but I can imagine you stomping around like an enraged hippo bellowing "WHY IS HE SO MAD?!?!?! THEY ALL NEED TO SHUT UPPPP! I AM NOT A CHILD!!!" at your myriad of Jonas and Bieber posters. I don't know what "college" you're in but it must be of the community variety. You certainly didn't get in on reading comprehension. No one is angry, in fact we're having fun laughing at you overreacting to nothing.

  10. 110

first off. the JB didnt do it. the ppl who wrote the sound track did.
nick had no choice but to sing it bc of his character

but i know how that feels to have a piece you worked hard on stolen from you bc my song was stolen right out of my pencil case at school last year.

so i understand the hurt and anger jason is feeling

  11. 111

    I love these boys
    Like just get over it
Just because a song sounds the same doesnt mean it was stolen.
People just want to blame these boys because they love Jason and he insinuated that he doesn't like them.

  12. 112

Seriously? The Jonas Brothers did not write that song. If any one IS at fault, it would be whoever actually wrote it. Get your facts straight.

  13. 113

Re: Rageahol – - Excuse me? OH NO YOU DIDN'T! Excuse my French…F*(k U! This is just a stupid Perez Hilton blog comment spot and you are going way over board. MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS. You have no right to question where I am going to school of judge me. I am not MAD at Jason Mraz, I am mad at the people judging me for my opinion. If you read the comments on the previous page, you will see that I am replying to them. And I am not stomping around my dorm room like a mad little brat. I don't know where you got that crazy idea from. Also, I don't have ANY Bieber posters. So don't act like you know me. Don't judge me based off of a stupid post. Get a life. You don't no anything about me or my education. I am actually at a pretty prestigious college in Boston and got straight A's in high school. So F*(k off! Idk…but maybe you were the one that went or is going to a community college, so SPEAK FOR YOURSELF. And leave me alone! THANK YOU!

  14. 114

ya, it's kind of obvious, the songs sound too much alike

  15. 115

Jason Mraz is a talented musician and a very, very nice gentleman. He is amazing in concert and I seriously think he'll be around A LOT longer than the ?? Brothers (who?). Reading his comment about the possibility of his song being ripped off will make his fans love him even more. Everyone needs to listed to his song, "What Mama Say" (Live). LOVE JASON!!

  16. 116

i dont think they stole it. the two songs dont even sound alike. hes prolly just jealous.

  17. Tyie says – reply to this

    Jason Mraz WHO? ;)

  18. 118

The Jonas Brothers did NOT write the song. I beleive they didn't write any of them. I was baby-sitting during the permire of Whats What editon. (like little pop-ups of info on the movie comes up) and one of the pop-ups was about Nick learning the lyrics and how fast he had to sing it. It has simliarity but i dont think it really is enough to scream law suit

  19. 119

Re: NicoleCth – actually he has had plently of hits. He came out in like 2003 with Remedy along with others. Jason Mraz has been on the charts WAAAAAAAY before the Jonas Brothers. U love them both but Jason Mraz is better

  20. 120

c'mon people.. JoBro IS A TOTAL LAME!!!!
get urself smart enough to realize this…

  21. 121

well, it's a good thing the song wasn't written by any of the jonas brothers, and its not supposed to be taken so seriously. the songs more of a joke, and goes along with the movie.

    jason mraz seems very immature.

  22. 122

So so so stupid. The two songs sound NOTHING alike. Jason is just ridiculous. And in my opinion "Introducing Me" is much better.

  23. 123

I personally laughed when I heard him say this, he said it jokingly. I listened to their version of the song and i did hear the similarity but what ever, nothing to get to touchy about and he clearly felt the same way.
and for all you jonas bro fans who are saying that they are a better writer than jason is, you must remember this: Jonas brothers have people write their songs for them. Jason writes his own…and not only that, he has i dunno, at least 15 years on them when it comes to writing lyrics. ;)

  24. 124

OH and i have heard people saying that people write songs for the Jonas Brothers. FALSE. Their songs are all their own, this song in particular may not have been by them because it is for a disney movie, but they write their own songs! k thanks :)

  25. 125

Honestly, as a Jonas Brothers fanatic, the song does sound a lot like Jason's song. But how many hits has he had ? According to what I have heard, he has only had like 1 at the most 2 songs tha have been out. Jonas brothers….A HELL OF A LOT more. Jason needs to stop being so damn salty and just continue on with his life and make money doing something else.

  26. 126

Re: JonasCutie247 – No offense, but Jason Mraz began his career in 1999, long before these three started puberty. What in the world makes you believe that this talented, independent, grown man would want to follow a group of little boys? To become more "wealthy, popular, and cute," which seems to be the most important traits in a person to you? The Jonas Brothers may have made ray-bans popular amongst 13 year old girls, but these have been classic sunglasses since the 1930's. There isn't a singular person or group who made them popular.

  27. 127

Ha,ha,ha, Lilalo must be dreaming. Jason Mraz jealous of Nick Jonas because Nick wrote a better song than him???? Are you kidding me???? None of these three bross has the level of quality as J. Mraz. You need to check your ears, something is really wrong with them.
