Twilight Incites A Porta-Potty Protest!

toilet torched as protest on twilight set in rio de janeiro

Don't upset the people of Rio de Janeiro, or they will protest against you…in silly ways!

Rio de Janeiro locals reached the proverbial "last straw" with Breaking Dawn filming interrupting their daily lives, so they SET FIRE to one of the film crew's porta-potties.

Fortunately, it doesn't look like anyone was in the porta-potty at the time.

We're thinking this was probably not the most effective way to protest the movie, but who knows?

Maybe one day after the cast/crew's lunch, if there's a long line at the untorched porta-potties, the impact of Rio de Janeiro's wrath will be felt!

Do U think torching toilets is an effective form of protest?

HC spent $15'000 on port-o-lets for her daughters wedding so it's against the interstate commerce clause just like the Mann Act. so a that is a crime and b since i have'nt had a girlfrind in fifteen years can i say i'm straght? should i say i'm gay? what if i said i'm pedophile like a Mann?

I love Rio. The people are wonderful and they do fantastic stuff like this. I have to agree that torching a toilet probably not the best form of protest. Torching one of the actors would be better. Better yet might be torching the author of that drivel.

I´m from Rio de Janeiro and apparently American news don´t have all the facts, as usual. What happened is that the production team for the movie blocked entire streets and prevented the people who LIVE and WORK there from entering their OWN homes and businesses! People who had a business obviously lost an entire day of sales, not to mention the citizens who were denied of going home! Please think about that before judging…how would you like that? People´s lives don´t have to stop because someone is shooting a stupid puritan mormon movie with horrific actors by the way
