although im all for equal rights and everything, i do think a same sex couple just seems..lame. like to try hard. it's a dancing show which is about classics and traditions, why not stick to them. this isn't something thats an issue or discriminitive so there just seems no need to have this.

It's not like gay people are being excluded and ballroom dancing, so I don't understand why this matters. To me it will just look awkward… and I mean, you don't have to be attracted to your partner. I mean same-sex couples would completely change the dynamics of the dance and I don't think it would be for the better.
There is no discrimination here, so just leave it alone.
I am not a big fan of Portia so unless her dancing was absolutely wonderful I doubt I would be super excited. I really like Cheryl Burke. I wonder if it Edita or however you spell her name will come back. She was always half dressed, even compared to the rest of them, and was my least favorite dancer. I hope it isn't her. I was happy she wasn't on this time.

I really hope they don't. It would be an ultimate fail, it would look stupid, and its against tradition. It would change the dynamics of the dance and not for the better. Its a HORRIBLE idea. When you posted the video of the two women in Israel, it looked really bad, unnatural, and awkward. PLEASE PLEASE don't ever make it TWO MEN! UGH! That's worst. I'd rather see two women which is still bad.
Two things:
1. As a gay male, I don't see a same sex couple as something that would be groundbreaking. We're talking about ballroom dancing and the traditions that lie therein. Okay, I understand that there are same-sex couples who like to ballroom dance, but Dancing With the Stars is about technique and tradition. Ballroom dance is traditionally about gender-roles and the stories that the dancers tell with their bodies. If you throw two women or two men on the dancefloor, you're destroying the tradition of ballroom. My argument has nothing to do with equal rights.
2. The word is "segue", not "segway". Come on, don't use big words if you can't spell them or use them correctly.
I'd like to see Carrie Ann and Max dance! All that anger they have toward each other should work in a hot dance.
