Jimmy Kimmel Looking To Make Some Changes

In January, Jimmy Kimmel's contract is up for renegotiation with ABC. His late show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, is doing fairly well for itself, but Jimmy has a few demands ideas to make it better.

When Jimmy heads into the negotiation meetings, The Hollywood reporter reports the Jimmy will insist that the show be moved from it's 12:05 time slot to midnight.

What difference does 5 minutes make, you ask? Plenty!

THR reports that viewers are more likely to tune into a show directly on the hour and Jimmy wants those eyeballs.

We actually don't think that's too much to ask. ABC should concede, since more viewers benefits everyone involved!

Ever since he turned on Jay Leno I can't watch him.

Ya I don't like the way he turned on Jay either. Heck he was able to forgive rapist Tyson for a week when Jimmy had him on as a cohost.

That said I am a huge Jimmy fan. I didn't switch from Letterman or Leno, I went from only occasionally watching those shows to watching Jimmy every night from day one. I feel he is the best interviewer of the 3. Jimmy I KNOW you are reading this! More cousin Sal and Jake Byrd messing with people and you in that gorilla suit!

The late start 12:05 was a ploy to stand out when TV guide was still widely used. Lots of things start on the hour, but you'd stand out if your show started later.
