Taylor Swift Honors Deceased Friend
Poor thing. This night must have been so tough for her.
Taylor Swift was the recipient of the a variety of awards - most notably her first country songwriter of the year award - at the BMI's last night, but during one of her acceptance speech, she revealed that the accolades were overshadowed by the recent death of close friend, Jeff Lang, who was found dead in his apartment earlier in the week - and she had just attended his funeral.
She said:
"It's been a really emotional week for me… He was 21, and I used to play my songs for him first. So I would like to thank Jeff Lang."
How tragic! We give her credit for even honoring her commitment to be at the ceremony after having to endure that!
It was very thoughtful of her to dedicate the night to him, though.
We're sure that wherever your friend is now, he's so proud of you, bb.
Our thoughts are with all of Jeff's family and loved ones during this difficult time.

The BMI's were not last night, but a couple nights ago. I shouldn't be surprised since your stories are ALWAYS a day late and a dollar short.

Last night was the CMA awards. Where it looked like she got booed because it wasn't all cheers and the shock on her face when the curtain went down was priceless. She even said "WHAT?" And she was nominated for one award and lost it to Miss Miranda Lambert, who also won album, single, video and the female vocalist of the year. Miranda's fiance Blake Shelton took male vocalist. Why don't you post when Taylor loses?

See, here's the thing - while Perez may not be the most admirable person in Hollywood, he can't do anything right for you people. Either he reports something too late, or he posts something that is too nice, or he posts something that is too boring, or he posts something that is too catty. What do you want? Jeez. Lighten up a little and realize that everybody, including celebrities, make mistakes.
Wow, Taylor is just always so put together and handles herself with class. She's very admirable as a person. I think young people should be looking up to people like her, instead of sluts like Ke$ha. Keep up the good work, Tay.
Perez-u have a real problem with your community. All i see here are whiny bitches and total assholes. I saw a Marina And The Diamonds video here a while back with perfect vocals, but comments were still all bitchy. wow. and now someones friend is dead on whom they are commenting and no one even cares? that is sad.
Re: Jennifer Joy Winter – who cares if she looses? I was happy for Miranda but so what? It's his blog, you know you can look at other sources if you want to hear neg stories about Taylor. i watched it too.. umm i don't know your reality but truth is no negativity at the CMA!
