    I think people are overreacting about JKR's comment. The thing is, and she's mentioned it, she just has enough material for more books. But if she were to write more about the Harry Potter world, I don't think it would be a traditional follow up to the current 7. It would either be about new characters, or about the smaller roles from a different angle (which as a fan, I would still appreciate).
    I think it makes total sense for DanRad and the others to move on. As much as I love them. It's ending on a good note.

    I think he's right, I think the Harry Potter franchise should just come to an end with the Deathly Hallows Pt. 2. It's going to be sad to see it come to an end but it's going to be epic and if they keep milking it after that then it just might get boring.

    Rowling made you rich, Radcliffe. You should be riding that gravy train till Harry Potter is wearing diapers again and walking with a cane. Or you can go and act in some plays in London that no one will see and even fewer care about.

    I think that if she does write another book for the Harry Potter series. That J.K Rowling would write one about the next generation. Since, the 7th books ending with Harry Potter as an adult with his child going off to Hogwarts. That would mean a whole entire new cast and Daniel doesn't have to be in that movie.

    I guess I understand though, and he's been so great about being HP (not being ungrateful and stuff like other people are) so thats fine. he's a great guy…I just wish he could be Harry Potter forever!

    I agree that 10 years is a long time, however if she did decide to do another book, he shouldn't turn down the roll if his char is in it. These movies made him very wealthy and it would disappoint his fans if he did indeed turn down the role.

    you realize the whole point of this story is that harry potter is a WIZARD not a MAGICIAN (as your story states), right?

    My little guy Loves Wizards of Waverly lol not this wizard. I read like 4 of the books then didnt stick with em. I'm going to read "half the sky" next and the new John Grisham. Not gonna lie love Grisham!

    I think way too much was read into the comment Rowling made on Oprah. I watched the show and what I got from it was she isn't OPPOSED to writing another book and it seems as if she has mulled the idea around. But I didn't get the impression that anything was seriously planned. I'm not expecting to see another Potter book. On the off chance there is, I think it would be close to a decade before we'd see it. At the end of the books Harry is married and has kids, sooo..it couldn't be like the others.

    I agree with Dan, he pretty much signed his life over for 10 years. I think he should have the opportunity to do other things. I also didn't see him say he wouldn't do it. I'm sure he'd feel obligated to.

    If she wrote anymore books I would be really unimpressed, she's made enough money and she finished off her story. I'm ok with spin off books and such like Dumbledore's biography and whatever, but not another book. It'd just be for the money.

    there was that mini release of Sirius and James and their escapades. So I guess that's what would be next. Or Dan would have to come back as dad Harry. I'd like to watch that.

    I like Dan but it's not like someone else in the role might not do it better, and I don't believe anyone stopped him from doing other roles

    i get where hes coming from, but i think its a bit ungrateful, like harry potter has been the making of him!! without it no one would know who Daniel Radcliffe is!

    Can you blame the guy? Most television shows don't even have the same characters for that long.

    If she wants to write another novel she may as well make it about the kids of the couples of Harry Potter, instead. There's not much left to be done, and if she wrote it with Harry Potter as the main character the audience would change, because it would be about an adult. I don't know about anyone else, but every book I've ever read with an adult as the main character was pretty boring.

    Re: shaunaxx – How is it ungrateful? He just said that playing the same character for 10 years is a long time, and it's time to move on. He stuck with it through all the books. I'd say he's pretty grateful, but there's always a time to move on.

    I think he is right…but there is no HP w/o Dan. JK didn't say a movie she said a book. But, who knows if she did write another book and they made it into a movie and Dan didn't have anything else lined up…..he may do it. I think the timing would have to be right.

    i would love a voldemort spin off too,his story from his first year at hogwarts .that would be epic !!!!!!!!!!!
