Go, Keith O!!! I agree, Perez! Well said!!!!! Thanks for posting this. I doubt most people will take the time to listen, which is really unfortunate.

  2. 2

Woah - bitter much? So it is ok for his news network to question authority, but it is not ok for Fox News to do the same? This guy is such a hypocrite. I understand the point he is trying to make, but when he somehow tries to claim that MSNBC is different and better than all the others, that's where his thought goes wrong.

  3. 3

Geez, this guy is loosing it. Way to twist and create you own false reality, dude. Maybe its time he goes back to obnoxiously calling sports highlights. WOW

  4. 4

Boy, he loves to hear himself talk! I don't…..

  5. 5

Wow…He put Koppel in his place. Good for him.

  6. 6

Suck it up Keith. Fox News is trouncing you in the ratings. Having a hard time getting advertisers are we?

  7. 7

    I love Keith : )

  8. 8

Keith, you aren't Walter Cronkite or Edward R. Murrow. Not even close. The CNN piece you spoke of was Anderson Cooper talking about Sarah Palin and the WSJ article and how she blasted the writer of the WSJ for correcting her facts. Times have changed along with news and how it is delivered and also who delivers it. Your past came from sports and now you recite the news. Yes recite. You sit at your desk night after night and give your opinion and views and facts. I watch your show and have yet to see you really leave your desk. Ted Koppel was right in what he said. Glen Beck, You and Rush make more money than you should. Don't get me wrong in these times when people are hurting for jobs and money my hats off to all of you, for making millions a year, but you aren't reporters. Walter Cronkite, Edward R Murrow, Ted Koppel, Dan Rather, Tom Brokaw, Mike Wallace and others were and are reporters. You Mr Olbermann, you are an entertainer. You raise your voice and come out with your list and that's the extent of it. Your suspension was a perfect rating getter and it worked. You put those down on FOX but you are very similar. Once again Mr. Olbermann you are an entertainer and as long as your ratings are strong you will be on MSNBC, but the minute you lose an audiance your gone and like so many of those from CNN like Glen Beck and MSNBC Geraldo Rivera you will probably find a home at FOX. Why? because of the money. Mr Olbermann "Good Night and Good Luck".

  9. 9

Fox "news" is only 'trouncing' msnbc because there are more STUPID sheeple around who can't think for themselves!!!

  10. 10

Keith has no ratings, the dude is miserable and it shows. He and the other man/woman on his network (Maddow). Anyone using the word "Mountebank" ought to have the shit slapped out of them. I want to poke my fucking eyes out listening to this prick.

  11. 11

Ugh. 12 minutes of that so-called journalist trying to justify why he did something (give money to political candidates) that he shouldn't have done in the first place. Olbermann absolutely sucks. Glad to know most of America agrees with me on this (judged by his horrible ratings).

  12. 12

Keith, you self-important son-of-a-bitch! Quit comparing yourself to real journalists like Edward R. Murrow and Walter Cronkite. You are a piece of shit sports broadcaster who makes money off of shitting on America and our values. Isn't it enough that you stole Murrow's send off? No, you keep blathering about random shit and you toss in your and Cronkite's names A LOT hoping your moronic viewers will believe there is a connection between Keith Olbermann and actual objective journalism.

  13. 13

I don't believe anything this guy says. He's nuts and vindictive. It's allright for him to say what he wants but if anyone on FOX does, they're evil. He's so self righteous he's sickening. O'Reilly wasn't crazy about what Koppel said, but he's man enough to take it.
By the way, is he still living with his mother and the cat?

  14. 14

it doesn't matter if it is olbermann or someone from fox, they are all hired to promote a side's opinion. the fact vs. the truth which olbermann mentions has allowed him to show he isn't telling the fact or truth either as he can't even manage to refer to our country as the republic it is but like most dishonest reporters he aids in making the american people falsely believe we live in a democracy and there is a huge difference.

  15. 15

Sounds like someone's upset that Americans aren't buying into his liberal agenda. By our very nature, we tend to be moderate conservatives. I realize Olbermann believes his views are correct, but the majority do not agree. That is why they don't watch his show, not because we prefer tabloid news over his "journalism".

  16. 16

I love Keith Olbermann. Brilliant, honest, direct and beholden to no one.

  17. JAA says – reply to this

Bravo Keith. It wasn't until Bush' horrendous mishandling of Katrina that Anderson Cooper had the balls to ask where in the hell Bush' priorities were. "Great job Brownie?" Not a word from the mainstream media when we invaded Iraq? And not a word when Bush had the nerve to crawl under his desk in the Oval office and make a joke; "nope, no WMD's here," for a Correspondent's dinner? Where were the Edward R. Murrow's? Well done Keith…

  18. 18

Keith Olbermann takes it in the ass. He should shut his fucking liberal bomb throwing mouth.

  19. 19

Bravo Mr Olbermann. And I disagree with your opinion that as Americans we tend more toward being moderate conservative. This country was FOUNDED by LIBERALS. People who spoke against the religious persecution and founded a land where people are free to pray to whomever they like, by people who stood up and said "I don't agree with your slave owning ways." We were not founded by people who stood back and agreed to a tea tax and agreed to let other people rule us from across the Ocean. This country was founded by people who fought the "norm" and won. As for what Mr Olbermann had to say, I totally agree. To say that we used to have non-biased reporting in this country at ALL is hypocritical. One's point of view is always brought to the table in stating of opinions and facts. Even in the translation of the very Bible that so many preach from, editing was used. Media, folk lore and before that songs sung to tell the tales of old all had a slant to whatever the storyteller believed. For Ted Koppel to stand up and use any of the great journalistic names as examples of fair and unbiased is ridiculous. No matter which side of the political fence you are on, you have to know that we were all mislead and too many of our good men and women in the military have paid for that misinformation. Whether or not you believe Mr Olbermann's political point of views or not, you have to admit that his message about Mr Koppel's article are dead on.

  20. 20

BRAVO!!! Standing ovation in our home for Mr. Olbermann!

  21. 21

The ratings says it all….Keith you LOSE.

  22. 22

He broke a policy that he was aware of and previously agreed to. Not exactly a hero. If he is so outraged and driven by his passion, leave MSNBC and their policies. Let's see how brave you really are, Keith….Yeah, that's what I thought.

  23. 23

@Jennifer Joy Whitman said "This country was FOUNDED by LIBERALS. People who spoke against the religious persecution and founded a land where people are free to pray to whomever they like, by people who stood up and said "I don't agree with your slave owning ways."

Too bad you don't know your own history. George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were slave holders. So were most of the Signers from the South. This country was founded by people who didn't want to be persecuted, but went on to persecute others. We're a mixed bag of good and bad, left and right, conservative and liberal. Theodore Roosevelt signed off on the imprisonment of American citizens of Japanese descent after Pearl Harbor. Law abiding people who were rounded up and put in "internment" camps. Roosevelt - the great president, the president of the "New Deal". Not so much of a deal for those poor people.

Before you hold the liberals up as the saviours, know the history. I'm not saying conservatives are better, but they most certainly are not worse.

  24. 24

The only reason he works at msnbc it because no one else will have this Ass wipe. He is not worth listening too.

  25. 25

And he thinks he is a journalist?! Why can't he just accept his role as a commentator and quit playing the victim? He is totally wimpy.

  26. 26

Olbermann! Disagree with your politics and your pokes at Fox but other than that great editorial. False prophet of objectivity. Love it. I have long expressed similar viewpoints.

  27. 27

his rattling on is exactly why msnbc is the lowest rated news cast on tv bla bla bla stfu

  28. 28

LOVE HIM!!!!! Hurray for intelligent reporting! I detest the belligerent, blowhards from the "fair and balanced" network smirking into the camera with their almost comical biased "news" reports. For those who prefer that kind of reporting, just try watching Keith, it won't make your numb brain hurt for too long.

  29. 29

This guy did what he did, why he thought he wouldn't get caught, I can't imagine, and now he comparing himself to the greats. Sorry Jack-ass. But I never heard of you until you screwed up. So, have no fear. You do not influence the American electorate as you so humbly think. You are safe in your nothingness. That is the first time I ever listened to him. He sounds crazy.

  30. 30

He sucked on ESPN and he currently sucks on MSNBC. Give that guy some Kleenex so he can dry up his tears. LOL

  31. 31

I admire a guy who says Fuck You so eloquently. Wake Up America.

  32. 32

    The truth shall be told:

Keith Olbermann's ratings have plummeted since his post-suspension return to MSNBC.

As previously reported, MSNBC's "Countdown" saw a 35 percent rise in viewers last Tuesday when the host came back after his brief suspension over his campaign contributions.

By Monday, he had given up all of this bounce and then some:

    •Tuesday November 9's total viewers were 1,499,000
    •Monday November 15's total viewers were 1,039,000
    •Thursday November 4's total viewers were 1,114,000
Nice little 460,000 drop in just four days.

You gotta love that this man child is getting what he deserves, what a tool and Edward Murrow wanna-be

  33. 33

"Judging Facts" is where bias begins. Facts are facts that don't need to be judged. Olbermann is incredibly biased. To state otherwise is a lie on his part. The newsmen of the past who he mentions may have also been biased, but it didn't show nearly as much as now. It's also pretty arrogant to compare himself to those men and think he has the answers to fixing the news. He might try reporting the news instead of making judgements and inserting his bias into it like so many other reporters. That would be a nice change.

  34. 34

Re: Jennifer Joy Winter – Our founding fathers were based in Puritan ideals making them moderate.

  35. 35

    Right On Keith Olbermann!!

  36. 36

Having listened to Olberman and then reading the comments here I now understand why Fox news has higher ratings. The Olberman bashers may have heard his talk but they didn't listen. I guess they didn't understand it because there was no one yelling or pandering to the lowest common denominator. Comprehension doesn't seem to be a trait that the Fox News crowd shares with the rest of us.

    Also to linnymM

Theodore Roosevelt did not intern Japanese Americans during WWII. I'll let you ponder that for awhile.

    Hint: FDR.

Re: bongo – i highly doubt that fox is beating msnbc.
