Live Where Heath Ledger Died

We don't know why this is a selling point. It just freaks us out.

The SoHo apartment where Heath Ledger's young life so tragically ended is back on the market.

It's a 4,400-square-foot, fourth-floor unit on Broome Street going for $5 million. The source says the place has been gut-renovated so it still needs a lot of work. It's also haunted.

It certainly looks like a nice place to live. We'd just get the heebie-jeebies thinking about living in the last place Heath was seen alive.

It's like the beginning of some awful B-horror movie.

I'd live there! Heath's spirit has gotten me through many rough spots. He died so suddenly and had so much to live for. He reminds me every day we never know when we are leaving this physical world. RIP Heath!

I guess if you're a big fan of his or you really like the apartment you'd live there. Personally I would not.

I wouldn't care that it's "haunted"… Who would be scared if Heath Ledger's ghost popped around every once in a while??

If you think about it, unless you build your own house, someone has probably died where you live. Especially in NYC apartments. My landlady once promised me a larger apartment in my Manhattan building as soon as one became vacant. When one of the big-apartment tenants died at home, and I learned the landlady had rented the apartment to someone else, I asked her why. She said, "I thought you wouldn't want to live where someone died." Smoke came out of my ears. If you can afford Health's former digs, go for it.

I think you are just horrible, Perez. Heath's apt has been empty probably because of the economy. Not a lot of people could afford the rent. he hadn't lived in the apt that long. He moved in probably sometime in the summer of 2007, then had to go to Venice to promoting INT. Then it wasn't long before he had to go off to London to start Imaginarium. So it's hard to say just how long he 'lived' in the place. I don't think he was home that much.

I miss Heath, he was a great actor and a wonderful human being.

For the record, 'gut renovated' means that it HAS been completely renovated… even in NYC.
