Hell's Kitchen Winner Loses Prize Due To Visa

| Filed under: Gordon RamsayReality TV

Whomp, whomp!

The winner of Gordon Ramsay's hit FOX reality show, Hell's Kitchen, was supposed to be off to the UK by the end of this year to work in his acclaimed restaurant, the Savoy Grill. However, Holli Ugalde won't be going to London as sources confirm that she's unable to get a visa.

Show producers reportedly handled all the paperwork for her, but were recently alerted that her visa was denied. What's the strangest part about the whole thing is that no reason was given for exactly why she isn't allowed into the UK.

So, since that all fell through, Holli was awarded a cash prize instead, which was probably a huge blow to Gordon's bank account, seeing as he's already having some trouble staying afloat with his other joints.

Oh well, at least the girl got something in the end. It would have sucked to have "won", but not gotten anything to show for it.

If her visa was denied, it's likely due to a criminal record or some type of immigration issue, like overstaying a visa in another country. They don't deny visas for absolutely no reason - they really just want money, and if you qualify, you're usually approved.

A huge blow to Gordon's bank account? Do you really think he payed the prize money? I'm sure FOX picked up the tab considering the amount of money that is pulled in from that show. It's like you aren't even trying. Give up.

Yep, bet her ex- wouldn't OK the move with their son, or either of them had drug convictions.

    Don't do drugs, kids!

Not necessarily. The British PM announced that he wanted to cut immigration to only tens of thousands by next year so they can accommodate jobs for the unemployed British. Probably lost the visa because they don't want her (us) here. And to take the money of course, and make you pay for reapplying.

At least she did not walk away empty handed. Sucks not to get the Visa.

A huge blow to Gordon's bank account? You know better than that and if you don't you certainly should.

Re: ladymacbeth – He may have announced that, but it's not policy yet. If someone is being sponsored to work here, in that type of situation, only a criminal conviction or immigration issue would prevent them from obtaining a visa.
