I like her as an actress. She's been pretty good in every role she has taken on
Actually, I don't think her acting is as narrow as she thinks she is. Has anybody seen 1983's "Silkwood"? Where she plays the small town Oklahoma lesbian roommate and fellow factory worker of Meryl Streep's character, Karen Silkwood? She was really good in that movie, and totally played against her type. She was anything but "Cher" in that movie. She received much critical attention for that role.
I don't know what's happened to Cher recently but she doesn't seem to be the same Cher. Too much plastic surgery on her face, and it also doesn't move correctly when she talks so she sounds funny. I don't think the real Cher would have forgotten her earlier role as Dolly Pelliker in Silkwood.
I love Cher. She is really something special.

I would believe it more if it were coming from Barbra Streisand or Madonna. Love Babs as an actress (not so much Madonna, though), but they've always, at least for the most part, played themselves on screen.
At least she can admit it! now if only Julia Roberts, Jennifer Garner, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Aniston, Kristen Stewart etc. etc… could do the same thing! there are so many "actressess" in Hollywood that can't act to save their lives, yet they are paid millions of dollars for movies that flop….i don't get it!
