Sir Elton John is absolutely right.

i'm a massive oasis fan & i live in the states, i must say he is right. they broke the us but when they came over here when don't go away went number one and they blew it. they put no time or effort into touring or doing good on tv appearances. that being said, i've seen them live 11 times in the states so yes they've done work over here but they should have seized there opportunity when they had it. honestly, i like them not being huge here. it makes the shows worth while and more special when you have them come and do shows, but that's just my opinion.

fuck elton john, oasis is amazing.

Um he's right. The two of them are stupid sods. To let years old sibling rivalry get in the way of some awesome music it took BOTH of them to make and perform.

Liam Gallagher is the reason women can masturbate quick, dirty and always successfully while their husband jumps in the shower for three seconds.

Elton John is right on this. Oasis was one of the best but the dumbest when it comes to being like kids. They had the world in their hands with 'Whats the Story, Morning Glory' and then then acted like that. They were so talented. Oh well bye bye Oasis. Used to be a fan not anymore.

Wow-he likes to run his lip a bit much these days. I thought Oasis did awesome in the US.

There's no more oasis now anyway so yeah they will never make it big here but what does it matter? They have been hugely successful, made a ton of money and toured the world (and the USA extensively). A lot of artists wish they could fail like Oasis…

if they didnt suck, they might of had a chance

Elton displays that wisdom that comes with age and hindsight.

I'm pretty sure Oasis would have their careers no other way. Not everyone wants to be the next Rolling Stones and it they got all overly commercail and corperate, it would go against alot of thier motives. Perez, have you ever even seen them interviewed? They are more calculated than you think and have had mich more success in North America than most other UK imports in their genre. Just becausethey aren't on the radio 24/7 doesn't mean they don't have any fans - I'm not even a fan but I know how big they are.

Muse is a twilight band. Coldplay is overrated. But "Wonderwall" is a classic.

    Re: fuckyourfeelings

You're an idiot if you think Muse is just "a Twilight band." They were making amazing albums years before that housewife wrote those vampire books. You could probably learn a thing or two about truly awesome music by seeking out "Absolution" or "Origin of Symmetry."

Muse are barely know in US
Coldplay have very bland music (i pick Oasis anytime)
    Blur\Gorillaz are not bigger
The only contemporary bigger brit band in US is Radiohead
When they were young they were very wild and on coke
the last 2 album did good in US
