No bueno!

Caitlin Sanchez, the young actress who voices Dora in Dora the Explorer has dropped her lawsuit against Nickelodeon after alleging that the network underpaid her and cut her out of lucrative merchandising deals.

Caitlin will finish some future episodes, although the network has declined to say how many.

The network released a statement:

"We have always felt, and continue to feel, that Caitlin is a very talented performer. Our intention was always that Caitlin complete the episodes on which she worked, and we are pleased that she has agreed to do so."

After telling the poor girl that "her voice changed and she was no longer able to portray the Dora character," we're surprised that they even decided to let her finish out any future episodes at all!

Thoughts??

Wondering if she was quietly paid off? Why would she just drop the law suit?

Her voice has never been as good as the original Dora's, but it was okay early on. Her voice HAS changed recently and I would like to see them find another Dora. She is waaaayyyyy too nasal sounding!

She had them dead to rights.
She was a kid, and they exploited her.
It was terrible p.r. for Nickelodeon, and they knew they had to make the problem disappear.
    Hence, the $ettlement.

They honored their contract and she tried to strong arm them into more money by dragging it into the press.

Dumb move Caitlyn. Who is going to hire you now?
