  2. 2

You've traded mean blogging for stupid blogging.

  3. 3

Well the first one had an awesome soundtrack, but I fall asleep every time I try to watch it.

  4. 4

"Maybe they could call it Master and Commander: An Even Farther Side Of The World That We Were Previously Unaware Of."

only clever thing you've ever said in your life. congrats.

Perez, stick to blogging. The movie made $212 million at the box office and nominated for TEN academy awards, winning two. Granted, it didn't make that much of a profit on its massive budget but you clearly show your ignorance towards good cinema.

  6. 6

I would absolutely love if they made this!

  7. 7

lol Perez you're an idiot, the movie is named after the book. Presumably the second movie would be named after the second book in the series. Do your research before you make inane comments. Not to mention, that movie was fantastic.

    Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Great movie, I have been disappointed that they never made more. I think that there are 20 books or so in the series, plenty of material to make more from.

Involve pirates or Spanish galleons, and I'm in.

You wouldn't have like the movie, it took a little focusing to understand the historical complexities of the plot, something someone like you can't do. You also need to stop talking in third person, it makes you sound more ignorant and uneducated as you already appear from your writing.

  12. 12

that was an awesome movie. Russell may be somewhat of a douche but he usually picks great scripts.

  13. 13

Why the hatred and juvenile name-calling? It was an excellent movie, based on an excellent historical novel series, based on fact.
Awww, you were just disappointed it wasn't porn from the title.

I love Master and Commander and have been hoping for years that they would make some sequels.

  15. 15

I just happen to watch a dvd of it for the first time last week. It is an amazing movie. I completely understand and would love to see part 2.

It was a fine movie, even without noticeably gay characters. Russell and the cast were wonderful

Yes, you might actually like to see it.

  17. 17

it was an awesome movie, but I guess you wouldn't know that because it didn't have your bitch angelina ho-lie in it.

  18. 18

Haha Perez, everyone hates you due to your stupidity. I'm happy to see how excited you are for the next Mean Girls, however!

  19. 19

Loved the first movie-both hubby and I really enjoyed it. I thought Paul Bettany was Oscar caliber. I give it a thumbs up.

  20. 20

Go fuck yourself Perez. The first movie was FANTASTIC, and as you can see by the comments here, there ARE people that want to see a sequel.

Stop trying to be funny and get an idea of what people actually want. I hope you meet Russell one day, because I'm sure as shit he wouldn't have a second thought about knocking your block off.

  21. 21

Master and Commander part of a 20 volume book set. Has a large following. The movie was wonderful. Great to see a time when men were men. Loved the movie. They could make all 20 volumes into movies!!

  22. 22

Isn't it obvious to anyone who has worked with him or tried to watch his fat mug on screen, that he is a recipe for terrible ratings and a giant flop? You need only look at Robin Hood to realize he's a disaster. Time to retire fatso.

  23. 23

Master & Commander has a huge following in the UK as well, almost achieved cult status, and the global DVD sales must be massive. Good for you Russell, we'd love to see the next instalment!

  24. 24

Shuddup Perez, this film was amazing. Easily one of my favourite films. And the film title is taken directly from one of the books in the series. Just FYI. Now go back to what you know - kissing stupid starlets' asses.

  25. 25

What? The first film was amazing, as were the books. If a film isn't some inane tween flick you don't seem to have any knowledge of it. Then again you think Gaga is the best thing since sliced bread so your taste is questionable.

  26. 26

Perez, you are an even bigger jerk (I'm trying to be polite) than I had heard you were. "Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World" was — IS — a wonderful movie with great performances throughout. I would love to see Russell, Paul et al in another Aubrey adventure — definitely will be supporting the "FOX campaign" to try to make it happen. (As for you, ClaudiaK, please go take a long walk off a short pier.)

  27. 27

Well, we loved Master and Commander….because we love the author of the novel, Patrick O'Brien. Patrick O'Brien wrote ten novel series of Captain Jack Aubrey (Russell Crowe).. "Master and Commander -The Far Side of The World" The movie was only two novels of the 10 book series. There are many more adventures of Captain Jack Aubrey. The director wanted to focus only on these two–maybe in hopes of more to come in the future!
Historically, this movie was absolute in the presentation of life aboard ship and war on ships during this era. This movie was also presented on the History Channel for the authenticity of the movie.

Re: Cheapmetaphor – Thank you. I'm loving all your comments and I agree 100% with you on them. It's honestly like we have the same thoughts. Perez, before you print shit, try and get SOME facts straight.

  29. 29

seriously perez?! shut the eff up - just because the content of the film is over your head doesn't mean it wasn't a great film
