This was fast!

Jim Carrey's daughter Jane Carrey just recently celebrated her one year anniversary to husband Alex Santana, but as of today, the marriage is over.

According to Jim's spokesperson, the couple have decided to part ways, but have intentions of staying" friends, as well as devoted parents to their 9-month-old son, Jackson Riley."

Currently, Jane is said to be in New York visiting her dad with the baby.

So sad, really. They're so young and their baby is so young. We would have liked to see them work things out. At least Jane's father will be a good source to go to, seeing as he's had to deal with a breakup himself this year.

What about the Sanctity of Marriage? I just know the Gays caused this break-up!

I couldn't think of a more cliche baby name than "Jackson Riley". Parent's think they're being original, but in reality every other parent out there is doing the same thing…how many "Aiden's" are there?

Take my word for it - he's a lazy father right now. Most relationships bust up after having kids because the father's don't get as involved as the woman would like. I've seen it first hand with my friends. Women expect too much from men within the first year of the kid being born. Most fathers don't bond with newborns. That's a woman's instinct. If more women would give their men a few years to bounce back and get involved, more marriages would survive the birth of children. I'm not saying it's fair - but what in life, and marriage, is? Women naturally bond with their babies long before the birth, it just takes longer for men. Just a fact. Sorry to generalize, I know there are the minority of men who bond quicker with their babies and I don't mean to insult them with my comments. I'm just trying to be factual. When my cousin gave birth and her babydaddy didn't get involved, she was going to leave him within months of having the baby. I told her to at least give him a year and she nearly flipped out. But - she gave him that time. Now he's really come around with helping out and their relationship is stronger because they overcame those obstacles. More women need to understand their men, and have some patience with them.

Wait, what??? Getting married AND breeding at an early age ISN'T a good idea? SHOCKING!!

Maybe the reason they split up was BECAUSE they were so young…

They just got married, and now they're done?
Re: adamzlover – I like your post, not that we know what the split actually was. A lot of men skirt around the periphery of the woman and the baby stuff because they don't want to get in her way, and they're not sure of their abilities. You're dead on about it.

Jane and I are not divorcing, we are separated. Basically, because I suck. Jane is an incredible wife and mother, but in all honesty, there are many things I need to work on. Nothing can be done about my hideous looks, but my lack of compassion and understanding must be addressed. I love my family, so hopefully in time, Jane can forgive my shortcomings. Pantera rules and The Tron is delicious.

    Sincerely,
