Who wouldn't be nervous about this???
Last night, at the London launch of his new show Piers Morgan Tonight, Larry King's replacement admitted to being an "absolute institution" about stepping into King's shoes.
Here's what he had to say about it:
"It's like following Sinatra at Vegas. No-one remembers that guy's name."
And more from Morgan:
"I was talking to Bruce [Forsyth] and he said 'I've been trying to crack America for 63 years' and he said 'No offense Piers - you don't sing, you don't dance, you're fairly irritating. How have you managed to do this?'"
Last week, we were less-than-enthusiastic to hear that Piers was reportedly planning on firing the majority of the Larry King staff when he takes over, which is not really cool…especially right before the holidays.
You know one thing that might make the transition smoother, Piers? DON'T FIRE THE ENTIRE STAFF! They've been there for a while, and they know how the show operates. They COULD be worth having on your side.
Think about it!
Do U think Piers Morgan will make a good replacement for Larry King?
