Dream Act Passed In House, Moves To Senate

dream act passes in house of reps moves to senate

We really hope this passes!

Yesterday, the House of Representatives passed the Dream Act, which would offer "a path to citizenship for hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants who came to the country when they were children."

Now, the bill moves on to the Senate for their vote.

Here's what House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had to say about it:

"This is about a commitment to our future. It's about a recognition of what these young people can mean for our country."

Looks like the Senate vote will happen sooner than later…possibly as early as Friday morning, where they'll need a "filibuster-proof majority" of at least 60 votes.

Here's what Oakland, CA Rep. Barbara Lee had to say about it:

"It's the right thing to do for these young people. Shall we further punish these 800,000 young people with deportation or by keeping them in legal limbo, or should we allow these highly motivated youth to attend colleges and become productive members of our society? The answer should really be quite obvious."

We totally agree, Barbara!

Come on, Senate! Make it a filibuster-proof one! You can do it!

Do U support the Dream Act?

F this, send the Beaners back to where they came from!!!!

  2. 2

wouldn't highly motivated people already be looking into and taking the steps to become legal immigrants?

  3. 3

Another fucking liberal act. Why not just open up the border and let them all in. Educate and feed them. We'll all pay for it, no worries. WTF.

  4. 4

So, we're bending over backwards for people who ILLEGALLY entered the United States, yet we can't take care of our own Citizens and don't have enough jobs for them. Niiiiice. Hey, maybe they'll give them the house that I worked to pay for too!!

  5. 5

As a hispanic, who's parents came here legally, and worked hard to become a citizen, I don't believe people who break the LAW should get "obama bailout". I don't think breaking the law should legally make you a citizen. Does this not make sense to anyone else?

Goverment at it's finest. Have kids you can't take care of, the gov will cut you a check, provide food stamps, medicaid, etc. if you parents break the US law and come here illegally we will make you a citizen!

    SMH~ such a shame.

  6. 6

and in addition AREN'T WE BROKE??

Who's gonna pay for this. The rich?

This is EXACTLY why I am against taxes going up for all classes of people, the gov will just piss it away on sh!t the AMERICAN people don't want.

    Desperate for votes!

Re: bongo – We already do that

  8. 8

People that put dumb ass comments are simply ignorant! It's fucking stupid how they can say something so racist. If you have nothing intelligent to say then say nothing at all!

  9. 9

No, I don't support buying votes to maintain the liberal hispanic voting base. And I'm also not for people undermining the time and energy real and LEGAL immigrants take…also disrespects our laws and sovereignty. I don't care if they're under 16…send both parent and child back then in that case.

  10. 10

@big_momma so how do you know every immigrant came the same way by crossing the border?! see ignorance at its best! a lot of immigrants came the same way as your hard working parents!

  11. 11

And there's a good chance that this will have no chance passing the senate. It's a pathway to amnesty…at least many corralaries to amnesty. The Bill itself doesn't grant automatic citizenship but still, but I'm thinking long term.I don't want these a-s-s-h-o-l-e-s' agenda being sustained any longer come 2012 and beyond. The Obama admin. is just making things sooo much worse in the long run rt now…Bush had started tho.

  12. 12

Re: April 20th – Excellent point. There is only a finite number of space available for college enrollment. This space should only be made available for our law abiding U.S. citizens. I would only support financial aid for lower income U.S. citizens verses an illegal immigrant whose family has defied U.S. law. This is the wrong message to send to all of those immigrants who followed the legal process to become a U.S. citizen. I also do not feel comfortable in supporting a law that freely admits citizens from another country into our military without thorough vetting of the illegal immigrant. Finally-bottom line-The U.S.A is broke! We can't pay our bills to protect and provide service to our own citizens let alone the millions of illegal immigrants!

  13. 13

Re: big_momma – A child who was brought here at say age 6 is not a criminal. Children grow up innocent and in many cases never realize they are not legal citizens until they grown up and and try and get a job.
Better face it, the majority of immigrants are here to stay!

  14. 14

I think that the dream act really needs to be passed.. First of all its not just about mexicans….. its about all immigrants, my brother-in-law is Indian.. He's 24 and he has been in America since he was 16 and ever since then he has been working, tax free mind you. If the dream act passes he will gladly pay his taxes and all his back taxes, you see he wants to start a business and has the funds but he doesnt have citizen ship or proof of income, If all of these "illegal" immigrants were granted citizenship it would only be helping our country. They would be able to pay taxes to our goverment with the money they would be makin anyways and start there own businesses and bring more jobs to our country, they obviously like it in america and most want to contribute but they cant unless they are granted citizenship.. So look at it this way, Illegal immigrants can work and pay taxes (with the dream act) or they can work and not pay taxes, either way they are still going to be here and are still goin to be working and makin money.

  15. 15

Tell me perez what liberal legislation don't you support? I can tell you i don't Support the renewal of the Bush tax cuts with and extension of underemployment benefits tied to them.

You are a liberal hack. You mare me sick to my stomach.

You know what I'm deleting my Link to your web site. I'm sick of your liberal spin!!!

    Please delete my accout

  16. 16

Re: bongo – The border is already open!
Why don't you xenophobic Republicans face the fact that opposing George Bush's comprehensive immigration reform bill in 2007 was wrong?!
Why don't any of you blame the businesses that hire immigrants knowing full well they have no citizenship? That is why the people come here-WORK!
It is mathmatically and finacially impossible to deport 12-20 million people.
Oh, yes right. Your brains only work in binary hate/fear mode.

  17. 17

Can this be any more bullshit? Take a look at big_momma's comment. All this would do is influence MORE people to break the law. Its like saying "If you get a felony, we'll give you $5,000 and let you out of jail". Absolutely retarded.

The day we no longer need to pay a dime out in medicaid, medicare, and other social welfare programs to take care of our CURRENT citizens, is the day we should look for ways to recruit more of them.

This is a slap in the face to every LEGAL immigrant in this country who paid their dues, waited their time, and now receive citizenship legally.

  18. 18

They ought to be passing a bill for funding the flights and bus trips for these people to go back to from where they came. You don't allow lawbreakers to stay, period. I do feel bad for the young kids. So, they get to stay. Their parents have to go, but if they can find a home, then they can stay. But, they have to pay their own way and apply for citizenship under a new category and quota. But get these lawbreakers OUT of my country.

  19. 19

Fuck illegals! I hope every fucking illegal loses their job, flunks out of school, gets evicted from their pad and gets deported the fuck back to their shitbox country. Fingers crossed, you illegal motherfuckers! As for you, Mario, stop supporting criminal behavior. It's bad enough our illegal alien prez loves the shit out of illegals.

  20. 20

All you people are stupid. If you knew anything about immigration then you can talk but you don't so keep your mouth shut. In order to get a work visa you either have to have a four year bachelor's degree, own a business, or an employer has to sponsor you to work here. After getting a visa you have to wait 5 years to get a green card and then another 5 years to become a citizenship. How many of you have four year degrees or are so good at your job that an employer in another country would want you to work for them??? It's not as easy at it sounds people so start being a little god damn compassionate for your fellow man.

  21. 21

nice! be very afraid cause this bunch of illegal immigrants are smart, then the lega. in the future they'll take your spot in college, your job, your wife, your man… lmao! and once they get legal for this, they can get loans and pay back just like everyone ( if they don't have their savings already) cause they're not a bunch of nazis broken asses drowned in credit card debit like most people here. just hope this passes so in the future i'll see the nazis sweeping the floor! lmao! the tables will turn, nazis! this thing is long time overdue!

  22. 22

we have enough boats and vehicles to get them out!!! our own citizens cant get a break, but our marxist government wants to give them everything, and say screw us!!!! this is bulls**t!!!! we the people need to stand up and do something about it…..start sending them packing or at the very least, adopt what other countries do……let them live here, but they never have voting rights, heatlhcare rights, and make them pay more in taxes, never own a business, etc….it works for mexico, and some european countries…why not here? BTW….when is that ignorant b***h pelosi leaving washington???? i thought she was defeated??

  23. 23

Re: Edgar Gonzalez – freedom of speech you beaner!

  24. 24

Re: Edgar Gonzalez – and most mexicans haven't you ignorant moron.

I get to pay out of state tuition for college while the illegals mexicans get to pay instate because of programs like this.

You sound like you are an illegal to me sticking up for this shit.

  25. 25

Re: Edgar Gonzalez – Wrong moron! If they came the same way her parents did, then they wouldn't be "Illegal" immigrants would they?? That's her entire point. Dumbass.

  26. 26

Re: supersongbird – no but there parents are!

are there no consequences for anyone who breaks the law in your eyes?

our state cannot afford anymore welfare for these people.

  27. 27

Re: yumba1 – I agree with every word you said.

  28. 28

Relax xenophobes. The Dream Act will not get 60 votes and will be blocked by the GOP Senate same as they blocked everything else they could since Obama was elected.
Even though just like "Obamacare" the Dream Act was originally a REPUBLICAN IDEA AND POLICY PROPOSITION! Now all of a sudden everything is Marxism lol.

  29. 29

Re: Amber10289 – Yeah, because that makes perfect sense. All these illegals working here, and not paying taxes are going to line up to start paying them if they are made citizens! What world are you living in?? Not to mention that you seem to think that every illegal is just a hard-working, law abiding citizen. Perhaps you neglected to read all the facts on how many are criminals, druggies, rapists, murderers, etc etc etc. Perhaps you also missed the part about how many make their illegal money using identity theft and destroy other peoples lives. And perhaps you also missed the part where much of the money they do make is not put into our economy at all, but rather sent back to their home country where they eventually go back to retire on it, contributing nothing to the US at all. Bottom line, even if you just hand them citizenship without them earning it, they will still most likely skirt the system, not pay taxes, and continue leaching off the rest of us. Why give up the gravy train?

  30. 30

Take a look at a real criminals. How can migrating for a better future b a crime??????

  31. 31

The Mexican cartels who control entry to our border and derive 1/3 of their income from smuggling illegals, couldn't be happier.
    -
We will pay big for this one, as millions of illegals pour in as a result of this, if not fraudulently claiming their kids were here for five years (there are no language tests, by the way) same as the others, then by awaiting the next amnesty as Latino identity politics gains steam.
    -
Meanwhile, let me point out the obvious, American high school graduates will be paying more for colleges (if they can get in after all the affirmative action students are accepted) to aid and abet the illegals who must have either two years of college or military service. This will surely dumb down both at the expense of our own children's education. Illegals get to pay the lower "in state" tuition prices, even if they are NOT residing in state.
    -
Fuck you, Mario, and your stupidity of unintended consequences.

  32. 32

I just seems that in this economy and these times we should be focusing our energy on something else. No doubt they can't pick what their parents did but shouldn't we be spending tax money on something else? Like creating jobs? America is a land full of opportunities but damn why help someone else when we can't even help ourselves.

  33. 33

As I remember reading the history of the fall of the Roman Empire, it started with immigration, and allowing non-Romans to serve in the legions to gain citizenship.
    -
Well they became citizens alright, and then overthrew Rome!

  34. 34

It might not be the child's fault for coming to America illegally, but it's not the taxpayer's fault either. There are millions of middle class Americans struggling to get help to afford college, and these illegals are going to make it harder. This is just another way for the struggling Democrats (I'm Democrat) to get the easy Latino vote.

  35. 35

Re: mnasrall – becoming a citizen of another country isn't supposed to be a walk in the field - you are supposed to have to work for it. sounds like you don't know a thing about working for what you have though so you probably wouldn't understand that concept.

  36. 36

    Re: luvs2tango
    Agree!

  37. 37

    Hey, I have an idea!
Let's open the doors and let all the Muslims, who want to come in and join our military.
Their training will be minimal, since most have had training in camps, out in the Libyan desert.

  38. 38

Fuck the dream act. Take the other step and amend the constitution to remove the "anchor baby" loophole. Then begin aggressive deportation and militarization of the border.

  39. 39

READ you bustas! there just doing it to get future votes. Hey if your were getting things for doing nothing, of course your gonna vote for the party who gives you free stuff. Thats why democrats say hey…dont work, we will take care of you. Dont try to better your self and self worth. We will take the money from the hard working, tax paying, law obeying peeps and give to the lazy. I am all about helping those who cannot work cause they are sick or seriously injured, but I cannot stand helping the lazy. Welfare is NOT a way of life, it is a way BACK TO LIFE. So the parents tell their kids, who tell their kids, and they all keep beign lazy, staying home and drinking and doing drugs, having kid after kid, so they keep qualifying for other government programs, just workign the system. SOME illegals come here to work, dont pay taxes, "get hurt on the job", get a settlement and take the money and go home and live like kings. Then they tell thier family to do the same thing. Imigrants who came here the right way cant stand these illegals.

  40. 40

Re: manymoms – I love your comments altogether, however "welfare is not a way of life, its a way back to life" couldn't be said better.

    Courtesy of CNN.com
    >>>"(CNN) — Senate Democrats conceded Thursday they don't have the votes to pass the DREAM Act, a bill that would have offered a path to citizenship for some illegal immigrants who entered the United States as children.
Democrats voted to pull the measure from consideration on Thursday. That likely kills any chance of passage this year for the hotly contested bill, Senate supporters say.
Senate Republicans opposed the bill, standing by their pledge to block any legislation during the lame duck session until the chamber approves bills to extend the Bush tax cuts and fund the government"

Re: Edgar Gonzalez – I didn't read anywhere in big_momma's post about them coming through the border. Get the post straight before you comment on them. You're ignorance at its best.

  45. 45

you're late again Perez. The senate has already retired this vote for this session. It's finished. kaput.

  46. 46

The only reason the Dems are so desperate to make the illegals legal is because they know that the spics will vote for them forever after. They don't mind destroying this country if it gets them more votes and more time in power. Goddamn commies!

  47. 47

who the f@#k would be paying for this college education??? Me? so, i have to take from my children's education and give more tax dollars to these low life's on welfare.. our country is so f@#ked!!!

  48. 48

Re: YRUFATT – The majority of "these people" enhance the economy that is FACT. But I know people like you are not interested in facts. You could always look into and research the sheer impossiblity of deporting all of "these people", but that would require having an open mind!
PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE LIVING HERE ILLEGALLY. BUT THEY ARE BECAUSE OF OUR FAILED POLICIES. IT IS OUR FAULT FOR HAVING NO PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS!

  49. 49

Well if it passes at least we can look forward to it being repealed with that Obama care crap in 2011!

  50. 50

Re: chuckkurt – George W was a huge proponent of Comprehensive Immigration Reform. Orrin Hatch (R) Utah was one of the original sponsers of the Dream Act. In true GOP hypocrisy he voted no on his own idea.

  51. 51

The way this is worded is all the way bias left. Costs dearly trying to get our own kids into college - who is paying for all this? Am not a conservative republican and I see that all of us who are citizens lose. Sorry maybe if we did not have trillions of dollars to have to pay off so that our own children might have a chance…

  52. 52

Re: big_momma – I don't care about the immigrant statement.. but as for foodstamps and medicare. its not just for people who have kids and cant take care of them.. you know some people have loved ones who have passed away and now are on their own taking care of family, or left them or lost a job or can't find a job and need that shit.. obviously with a statement like that you are way judgmental and can't look at things from a different point of view.. >:(

  53. GG78 says – reply to this

    53

How are these ILLEGALS paying for their college???? Are they getting grants for the U.S. government?? If so, that's bullshit, they are not citizens and should not be getting money from a country they are not citizens of !!! They should only be allowed to take out loans, not grants for ILLEGALS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  54. 54

Re: supersongbird – Damn lol.. you seem to be one of the one who make the most sense.. gets annoying seeing people blame everything on a Dem. and don't see any of the shit Republicans do.. i'm just surprised at how many ignorant one sided people there is in this country… sad.

  58. 58

    Please throw Pelosi out!

  59. 59

You are wrong to support this Perez. But you're such a racist that you think every bill that helps Latinos is good no matter what it costs.

  60. 60

The DREAM act states: A person needs to have been a child under 15 who was brought into the country PRIOR to 2005 in order to be granted the privileges this act would give them. It's for the CHILDREN ONLY, not the parents. It's for children who have been here for 5 years already, not the parents, not people who arrived prior to 2005.
I like how it dictates that the person must serve for 2 years in the military or attend college for 2 years to be a part of this, but there should be ZERO financial aid available. Our citizens need to come first. Period.

  61. 61

Re: GG78 – Oh, I'm sorry which one of my posts are you disputing, Eldridge? I am 100% on the same page as the Bush Administration on immigration. So "ultra liberal" lol. What would Condi think of you :(

  62. 62

Perez, PLEASE stay OUT of politics. You don't know what you're talking about… California is $150 BILLION in debt, with New York just behind and more states to follow… We CANNOT afford this plain and simple. And why should an illegal alien receive in state tuition, but if a citizen is from Arizona and wants to go to school in California they have to pay more.. NOT FAIR!!!

  63. 63

Re: jennycakes – Well all one needs to do is open up their mind and read, right? lol
Re: klc_nsn – Throw her out? An elected official?
At least Pelosi doesn not cry like a ridiculous BABY on the house floor!

  64. 64

Re: supersongbird – If you haven't already figured out that George W. Bush didn't always have the correct answers then you need to do some more reading. Both parties, however, are corrupt and both parties cow tow to Wall Street. Let's get real,do you really think the Democrats are pushing this bill because they care about illegal children?? They only care about how many additional Latino votes they are going to get in their next election. The same goes for Republicans who represent districts that are highly hispanic. The U.S.A. is in debt-We have no money and since when do U.S. legal children who may be homeless or live in poverty take a back seat to illegal children. I also would like to know why the U.S. citizens who oppose this act are vilified by the left while the president of Mexico gets a free pass and received a standing ovation when he spoke to the U.S. Congress and our President?

  65. 65

pffft they are not gonna be productive members. of coure there are some who are studious but not all.

  66. 66

Hell NO! We have immigration laws for letting people into our country legally. The politician idiots keep forgetting this. These illegals are costing us major money. Taxes - they pay none! We pay their rent, their healthcare, their food bill and everything else. They add NOTHING to our country, other than trying to reduce us to a third world country culture that they want to bring with them. Secure our borders, enforce the laws for employers who do not legitimately check them for their legal status before hiring them and hit them with huge fines if they do, then let's talk about what to do in the future. ONLY THEN will we take anything that the politicians are doing as serious. REMEMBER - they took an oath of office to support the laws of our land. WHY ARE WE NOT HOLDING THEM RESPONSIBLE FOR UPHOLDING AND ENFORCING THEM????

  67. 67

Re: Amber10289 – This would have no effect on your bro-in-law's situation, he's too old. This only affects kids who are under the age of 16 and who have been in the US for 5 years. These Dream Act kids will go to the front of the line….your bro-in-law will have to wait.

  68. 68

Re: GG78 – Hey idiot, read this (if you can lol)
    www.foxnews.com/opinion/2010/12/…/dream-act-wont-cost-money/

  69. 69

Re: jennycakes – obviously, you didnt read my post correctly, you tool. I am all about helping those peeps your were talking about. But when we pay so much money to help illegals and lazy people, who are purposly working the system, and which the Democratic party allows this to happen , we dont have enough to help your examples. So what do they do??? they tax us some more. Americans who pay taxes and obey the law should come first.

  70. 70

Re: jennycakes – The majority of people on welfare abuse it and are totally unaware of where the money comes from. I understand there is a need for it (for the reasons you said) but most people on it, don't need it - they're just lazy fucks that would much rather lay on their backs and have babies than get a minimum wage job and work their way up somewhere, gaining some pride and a sense of responsibility along the way. If welfare was used the way it was intended for, people wouldn't be so pissed off and hostile against those who use it. Remember, ODB from Wu-Tang?? He was wearing multiple gold chains around his neck and was one of the most known rap artists (at the time) and he was receiving and using food stamps - proudly proclaiming it on tv because it's "free money". Or the lady I saw on a court show who didn't think receiving a voucher to help pay her rent was public assistance. When people degrade the welfare system, it's the majority they are referring to and as previously stated, the majority of welfare cases are abusers of the system. If they truly think there is no reason or need for a welfare system, they are simply foolish - I have no problem helping my fellow man as long as he's trying to help himself also.

  71. 71

Re: yumba1 – Harry Reid is pushing this bill because it was a campaign promise he made to the Latino community. Harry's a douche with something like a 14% approval rating, but he is still there because his opponant shared your views and ran a racist campaign (aside from being bat shit crazy)
And please, you don't need to tell me about Bush and corruption. Just using as an example. My view is not the "ultra liberal view" IT'S THE COMMON SENSE VIEW. I have researched the topic of immigration. Bush's bill made sense in 2007. My point of view today is shared by Colin Powell, Condi Rice, Rupert Murdoch, Barack Obama, Mike Bloomberg etc…It is common sense!
The vast majority of neo-cons supported it too until they became the party of NO! This should be a non-partisan no brainer!
As much as you would like to think its so, 12-20 million people simply cannot be deported!

  72. 72

    Re: YRUFATT
"I get to pay out of state tuition for college while the illegals mexicans get to pay instate because of programs like this."
Huh? I assume the reason you're paying out of state tuition is because you're attending college at a state institution that is out of your state, which would apply to anyone.

  73. 73

    74

One of the reason our country is in a financial mess is due to the infestation of illegal immigrants in the first place. I'm tired of paying taxes in order to stand behind them in the supermarket as I watch them whip out their WIC checks and food stamp cards then see them loading their free haul into a tricked out Cadillac Escalade. Why should I work and pay taxes to support illegal immigrants?? No one is supporting me!!!!

  75. 75

Re: yumba1 – As for cost, read the article on the link I posted. (I know you won't but…) On the topic of cost-
Why is it ok to give Hollywood movie stars and Wall St bankers tax cuts?
You are all about that and those tax cuts will cost our government $70 billion per year! And don't even go there with job creation because these tax cuts have been there for 10 years now and anyone who is paying attention can see how many jobs were created!
How many screen names do you need anyway?

  76. 76

Only in America, any other country when you're in their country illegally you get arrested and deported, in the Netherlands they're proposing arresting anyone that even provides housing or assistance to an illegal and charging them as an accomplice.

  77. 77

Re: klc_nsn – I know she is annoying lol. I think she passed a lot of good legislation though. Pelosi really has been unfairly demonized. This cry baby we have now will have to "man up" if he is going to match her work ethic and determination as Speaker.

Re: supersongbird – Personally I could care less who is for and who is against the bill. I am an independent who sees that we are in debt big time and we have no money to pay for this initiative- period! The government's main focus should be on job creation and not on ways to spend more money.

  79. 79

Re: yumba1 – I am also an Independant and know the same thing. So what about those tax cuts for the filthy rich?
Michael Moore is getting a HUGE tax cut -lol- so is Olbermann!
$70 billion a year! Dream act will end up not costing the government. Nice try!
    EDUCATE YOURSELF!!!

  80. 80

This is disgraceful. Make them go through the citizenship process like any other "alien". And make sure they LEARN TO SPEAK ENGLISH BEFORE THEY ARE ALLOWED THE PRIVILEGE OF BECOMING CITIZENS

  81. 81

Bad idea. Why does it seem like every "act" passed or every opportunity brought about is only to benefit people that are not us? I am the child of 2 immigrants from the opposite ends of the world, but you can be damn sure both entered legally, went to college, neither ever accepted government help in their lives nor will they probably ever. Waaay too many people given the opportunity to sit on their asses like the scores of unemployed waiting for the next check to come because they're above working at KMart or Hess stations because it's "above them".

  82. 82

Ok, so here's what the DREAM Act actually says (version passed by house):
-Person must have come into the country before the age of 16 and be here for at least 5 years
-Have proof that they graduated high school
-Have a clean criminal record (but certain cases can be pardoned)
-Pay application costs (about $500) for 5 year conditional residency and $2,000 for the next five
-Complete 2 years of college/military service
-Applies to undocumented immigrants up to the age of 29
-No new immigrants elegible (only those who can prove they were already here)
-Will be elegible for in-state tuition (in their state of residence)
-Will not be elegible for financial aid (only student loans which must be payed back in full and work-study programs)
After the ten years, they will be able to apply for permanent residence and citizenship (the same way everybody else does). The entire process takes about 15-20 years to gain citizenship.
I advise you all to read the bill or go to whitehouse.gov to read the facts (as far as I know the white house's website is by law required to give factual, unbiased information about legislation). I'm not here to tell you what to think– just to look at the facts.

  83. 83

Sure, I've always wanted to pay for some illegal's education while going in debt for my own. Why don't I pay for their housing, medical and food too…oh wait, I already do. Just another ploy to buy votes from people who will NEVER pay taxes and are ungrateful to be here.

  84. 84

i hope to god this doesnt pass. it doesnt matter if they are criminals, sex offenders, etc etc. we cannot allow something like this to happen!!!

  85. 85

    She's Hilter in a skirt!

  86. 86

    Boy these people are delusional!
    supersongbird is a self-proclaimed Independent!
    hahaha

She probably thinks she's a Moderate Independent instead of a Commie Marxist Big Government Take My Money Bitch.

Butchers that you are, to be doing that shit in the final three months.

  89. 89

    HELL NO

  90. 90

HELL NO to this–no amnesty–go home!! We should have really tough immigration laws–like MEXICO!!–and get all the illegal lawbreakers out of here. Plus, the stupid DREAM act includes 'pathways to citizenship' for illegal family members AND people up to age 35!! It's NOT just for people who were kids when they came here–KNOW what your lawmakers are voting for!!

Re: luvs2tango – No, bat shit. I'm a REGISTERED Independent.
Just what got to you? The fact Michael Moore is getting a huge tax cut extension?
You do know that at the demand of the GOP so will President Obama and George Clooney. All the Hollywood elite will! Does the truth really get to you that much lol?
Nobody is looking for YOUR money. Certainly not I!
You really are a great big fucking fraud you know. With this tea party lol
You Limbaugh brainwashed, crazy old fool. "Your" days are numbered and you know it! That is what your real problem is with people like me. IS IT NOT?

  92. 92

Immigrants and thier supporters make me sick. You we're born in your country for a reason. F'ing stay there! People who live off the goverment make me sick to. You're all discusting parasites that have no respect for America and its future, our childrens future. The Mexicans are the worst of the bunch too. They are so racist towards the people they use it's unbelievable, they have no interest in learning English or being a respectful tax paying citizen. Leaches. I have a 2 year old, and a 1 year old. They are gorgeous, very smart, polite, have hard working parents, are caucasian.. and are so amazingly totally beyond a doubt screwed.

  93. 93

NO NO NO…send them back…let them apply legally…if we hire all the unemployed legal residents..we could get rid of the illegals..and help all the legal citizens…

    supersongbird,
    -
Your side has lost the arguement.
America has rejected what you and Barry advocate.
    The Dems were routed out.
    It's finished. Over and done.
Liberalism will here on out, decline.
The world can not afford Liberalism.

"The term "shellacking", is that conservatives can now enjoy the spectacle of Democratic finger-pointing over the fallout of their electoral catastrophe.
    -
For conservatives with an appetite for schadenfreude, MSNBC is now serving a smörgåsbord.
    -
Olbermann's network is arguably less informative than Fox News, but watching Democrats eat their own is as entertaining as anything on Comedy Central." — By Robert Stacy McCain, AmericanSpectator.com

Re: luvs2tango – As usual I have no clue what you are babbling about bat shit. You are such a crazy hag!
I'm a lot younger than you and I'm not going anywhere.
You think now you have taken your country back to 1955 fantasy land with this election - but deep down you know is to no avail. In reality the facts you consistently and so effectively dismiss dictate time is not on your side.
According to the census bureau minorities will become majority very soon now.
    How sad!
Sad for you because there is nothing you, Glenn Beck or even Rush can do to stop it.
Sad for me that so few of you dinosaurs will still be around to witness your own demise.
Bigotry and xenophobia does not sit well with America’s young and diverse population. Which is why Harry Reid is still in your face!
We, the PROGRESSIVES (hahaha) are not worried but YOU SHOULD BE.
    Tick tock tick tock…..

  98. 98

More like a nightmare act than a dream. Please please please don't pass this. Send their asses back where they belong

    -
    -
    -
Firstly, another two years of America's young diverse population being out of work, and living with their parents, does not bode well for the Dems political future, even with this demographic.
    -
Secondly, House Majority Leader, Senator Harry "The War is Lost" Reed, couldn't even win the vote on repealing DADT today. They can't do shit to stop the Republicans. Wait till January, when our Conservatives hit DC. Even our RINO's have their assholes puckered. heh

  100. 100

I think that people should read the bill before they open their mouth.
    1. the person would have to have entered before the age of 16, which means they had no choice. they came here unwillingly.
    2. they have to gradute from a US high school.
    3. HAVE NO CRIMINAL RECORD! a felony disqualifies a person or 3 misdeamenors.
    4. they have to complete 2 yrs of college or serve two years in the military. And recognize COMPLETE TWO YEARS, its not easy to complete two years they have to actually pass the classes for those who say they can just show up.
    5. The new bill that was introduced denies they get in-state tuition unless states allow them to. Only 10 states in the US allows this and in-state tuition on means that if they person falls into the residencial laws within the state. Not just any undocumented person from anywhere can get it.
    6. It prohibits them from recieving any kind of government assistance like medicare and foodstamps. So no you're not paying for their food or anything like that.
    7. They can also never petition for family members. SO thats another BIG LIE people keep repeating.
    8. At first, they only get conditional residency for 10 yrs which is basically like a probational residency. Then after 10 yrs they get premenant residency. If they want to become citizens they have to wait 5 yrs. So I don't see how its a quick trip like so many think.
