I for one will not watch this nonsense - I refuse to put more money in their pockets. Sarah is so obviously new to handling a fire arm. I wonder what else is fake. I wonder if they actually spent one night in a tent. I wonder if they will show the hair and makeup tent. The only way to make these two nut cases to go away is to not watch their shows.

Also, though unfortunate I know this, agree w/ Rosebud, on this, Sarah hasn't spent much time firing firearms, which i think is probably a good thing? Sarah Palin and Ted Nuggent are a perfect couple. Both vomitious. I understand hunting to feed the family. I eat meat myself. But if you are actually wetting your panties over it you have something wrong with you.
I love them both. I'll definitely be watching. And Sarah Palin grew up hunting with her dad, it's not her first time sweethearts. There was even an episode where she was shooting those flying disks and she was obviously experienced. Wha wha wha, Sarah Palin shoots animals…I'm from the SOUTH. People go hunting for sport all the time. She's not shooting your puppies and kittens so stop crying.
I'm glad she made Kate cry but I won't watch. I don't want to help the bitch's ratings. I wish a grizzly bear would have eaten them all.

My husband and I love Sarah's show! We both find it very entertaining and
enjoy the hunting expeditions and nature. A very family friendly show.
They do lead a very interesting life.
Love this show. Love Sarah Palin. I completely understand how people from big cities on the coasts don't get her–but she personifies what real life is like for those of us who live in rural areas. It cracks me up how she doesn't even have to do anything for people like Aaron Sorkin to lose all sense of perspective. Come to rural WV sometime where most people know how to gut a deer and it wasn't that long ago that high school boys used to trade hunting rifles in the school parking lot–and everyone (including many female teachers) carried pocket knives.

And in the episode where she shot the caribou, it took her 6 tries to hit it and then tried to use the excuse that her dad bumped the scope when he tripped… uhhh why was he carrying your gun… so much for girl power. AND you never ever ever ever shoot at something on the skyline… that's like a cardinal rule in hunting. She makes ALL hunters look bad with her foolishness.
Re: harrycontests – another liar. It costs tens of thousands of dollars to go on a caribou hunt. The woman lives in a multi-million dollar house on a lake. She wears designer clothes and jets all over the place. She can't hunt, she's a big fake. And did you see bristol, she couldn't even hold the gun right. And she clearly had no experience dispatching the halibut, she was flailing around hitting the tail as often as anything.

I am not against hunting–when the practice is done in a sustainable way, which in many cases, it is. What I really could not stand about Sarah Palin's episode where she shot the caribou, was how she went on about how Alaska (and her policies) have allowed and encouraged sustainable wildlife. What???
Sarah Palin sued the federal government to prevent listing the polar bear as an endangered species, because doing so will slow development in Alaska. She similarly sued federal government when they listed the Cook Inlet beluga whale as an endangered species (there are right now less than a thousand of these in the world). She supports drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife refuge. She supports the aerial hunting of wolves (because, y'know, wolves are edible) despite the fact that Alaskans have voted twice now to ban the practice. In fact, she even gave over $400,000 to propagate a campaign in favour of aerial hunting of the animals.
I do not care if she shoots caribou, because those animals are in fair abundance in Alaska. I am not a PETA-crazy fanatic; in fact, I work in a science lab, and have been threatened by over-the-top animal activists in the past. I am not against hunting. I am against maniacs that have a complete disregard for maintaining wildlife and habitats that encourage biodiversity. I also hate liars. So, as you can imagine, I cannot stand the Palins nor their show. I will not watch it again.
I love Sarah's show. It is a documentary of life in Alaska. I could not shoot an animal but I realize that their are more caribu there than food for them. The caribu are killed by wolves, starve in winter, or freeze to death. Shooting them for meat for humans is more humane than the other 3 options. It allows for other caribu to live and reproduce. Kate is a DIVA and lasted 3 hrs at the campsite before gathering up her 8 kids and fleeing to a cabin that she spent only one night in before demanding a posh hotel suite in the city. Kate + 8's ratings are LOW and Kate should have hung in there and not behave like a spoiled brat. TLC has Cake Boss and Sarah now with awesome ratings. Good bye Gosselins.
