Bernie Madoff's Son Commits Suicide

Mark Madoff, the son of convicted Ponzi-schemer Bernie Madoff, who is currently serving a 150-year prison sentence, was found dead in his Manhattan apartment early Saturday morning of an apparent suicide.

Madoff was found hanging from a ceiling pipe with a dog leash around his neck. His father-in-law discovered his body.

His two-year-old child was also allegedly asleep in a nearby bedroom at the time, unharmed.

It is unknown whether or not he left a suicide note, however prior to his death, Madoff emailed his wife in Florida with "words to the effect that someone should check on his son."

His death occurred on the second anniversary of his father's arrest.

Wow. So sad.

Mark found out he was about to be indicted and didn't want to spend the rest of his life in prison.

Someone should light his father on fire, in that jail cell, then we can re-name him "Burny".
    One less Liberal voter.

At least Bernie's wife, Ruth, is in true hell now.

According to a lengthy piece by Steve Fishman in New York magazine, Madoff, in a federal prison in North Carolina told a fellow inmate, "F— my victims. I carried them for twenty years, and now I'm doing 150 years."
Perhaps Bernie will feel something akin to a conscience now. His son was a victim of his lack of moral leadership, and it was said that the accusations and social treatment the son may have faced over the past two years may have contributed to this sad demise.

I know that this sounds ridiculous, but many people are saying that this was a hit by the Russian mob. They lost millions, and they don't play around!

  9. 9

This is so sad, but it shows what cupidity and greed will do. It is not a time for throwing stones, let's leave everyone in God's hands. I feel sorry for the victims, but at the same time cannot help thinking they were greedy by investing their money for high dividends and interests. Plus they were not poor people, maybe God wanted them to learn something from this. Greed will lead us to our perdition. Karma always has the last word.

Yep Bernie, sold your soul to the devil, money=ripping off trusting people..and leads to the deat of your son, leaving his child without a father.

Bernie, you are a lowlife and have even more blood on your hands, I hope you rot a slow painful death.trash

comon perez be gay militant, arent you casual? like a normal gay would say something like, good riddance, i would say like that's too bad. for gay as a conquest i am irrelevant, if you are not male you don't know what i've been through

  13. 13

This actually made me really sad.

  14. 14

karma is the biggest bitch of all..a few people commited suicide because of madoff stealing their live savings..now i wonder how it feels now that revenge took it's toll

  15. 15

This makes me really happy to be one of the "common folk" being really careful to use my paycheck for what counts. Hey Bernie … You Reap What You Sow. The sins of the father are visited upon the children. Seriously? I'd rather be poor.

  16. 16

I am sure that his poor son has been tortured mentally the last couple years. Apparently he didn't want anything to do with Wall Street and he was also the one that turned in his father. He and the brother actually. I feel bad for him and hope he is now resting in peace. Something tells me the stupid father is not shedding many tears in front of people if at all. I think that man is a screwed up jerk who was born without feelings.

  17. 17

    and then there was 1.

Re: LazaroSi3333 – You are so wrong!!! Not everyone was rich who invested. They may have been well off, but not rich. I have family who invested and now they have nothing. I agree about not throwing stones but you are wrong about everything else. I dont like to hear about suicide especially when there is a child involved.

I will keep posting this until all of you finally fucking GET IT!

Your country is ruled by Europeans!

Watch for Spain to default and Banco Santander to have massive problems. That bank is heavily linked to what Maidoff was doing before he went down.

Re: @v@ – "F— my victims. I carried them for twenty years, and now I'm doing 150 years."

Huh? Does that sound even remotely like something anyone would say? He is much more well spoken than this piece of fantasy.

Re: caravaggio the terrible – Oh please. Stop with the hysterics.. You are not the sole recipient of some special knowledge.

  22. 22

Bernie Madoff, you stupid, stupid Bitch.

  23. 23

Now its time for his wife, Ruth, to do the same..

  24. 24

Re: WatcherOne – Youre right. But why in the hell is Maidoff scandal so special, when the FED prints from thin air on the taxpayer dime at interest, and these are the owners? Anyone pissed? The FED printing going on cannot possibly pay back the derivatives debt (1.5 quadrillion), and this criminality is 1,000 x more scandalous than Maidoff and the west palm beach crowd he ripped off. But thank you responding anyway and make sure to inform your mother.

  25. 25

Re: WatcherOne – Actually Bernie Maidoff is NOT that much more well spoken and you need to go back and watch some of his videos where he lectures. He talks like Bowser from Sha-na-na. He is from Queens I believe.

  26. 26

Re: WatcherOne – And you will see a whole new definition of 'hysterics' when you finally realize that there is no recovery coming and your boy Obama is just a puppet.

  27. 27

Good example of: Whatever you do in life affects someone else. Choose wisely. Very tragic family indeed.

    Re: caravaggio the terrible

another financial genius heard from….as if the rest of the countries and money systems aren't doing the same.

  29. 29

Nothing sad about this. Bernie Madoff and anyone that helped should feel horrible pain. Bernie should have been executed for what he did. But since he was not I hope he is now feeling horrible pain due to his sons suicide.

  30. 30

    Re: @v@
Well said. Unfortunately, it is always the children who suffer in cases of parental moral bankruptcy.

  31. 31

    Re: @v@ – He didn't say that.

I feel sorry for his son. Poor guy, I'm sure he was hated by the people in his community because of his father. :(

  32. 32

    how old was he?

Re: WatcherOne – Maybe. Take it up with Fishman, the author, but thanks for an intelligent comment to consider.

  35. 35

Everyone is so happy to completely vilify the Madoffs. What Bernie Madoff did was horrible, but the investors have to take some of the blame too. Half of Madoff's investors made money. The financially savvy ones had to know that making 10%, steady, on their investments was fantasy. They looked the other way because of their own greed! And the stupid ones thought what? That they had the only genius out there to manage their money?

  36. 36

    Re: lck

And those 55 + central banks that are all rpinting are printing for THEIR country and NOT for others. The FED is bailing out Europe you fucking idiot and WE have to pay for THEIR mistakes. Maidoff is nothing but a smokescreen to cover what YOUR PRESIDENT who has been repackaged as BUSH 43, is letting the owners of the FED print to infinity and make fortunes for themselves. Also, keep in mind that ALL 55 central banks take orders and answer to the (BIS) Bank for International Settlements, owned outright by Rothschilds out of Basel, Switzerland. A confession of Joseph Stiglitz in 2002, after he was thrown out. I ain't no financial genious - it doesn't take much to do research and pay attention. Maybe learn something? Now go home to your mother!
