Looks like Dan Brown may have material for another Da Vinci Code book after reading about this!
Members of Italy's National Committee for Cultural Heritage have revealed that they've found letters and numbers in the Mona Lisa's eyes, which can only be seen by magnifying high resolution images of the painting.
Here's what President of the Comittee, Silvano Vinceti, had to say about it:
"To the naked [eye] the symbols are not visible but with a magnifying glass they can clearly be seen."
Pretty wild stuff! Is Robert Langdon
or Nicolas Cage available to investigate?
