Scarlett Johansson & Ryan Reynolds Confirm Split, Release Statement!
It's official!
Reports this afternoon claimed that Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds were breaking up after two years of marriage, but a piece of us just didn't want to believe.
Now, the couple has released a joint statement through their reps and we're forced to face reality.
Such sadness!
From the now SPLIT pair of ScarJo & Ry Ry, the couple explain:
“After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we’ve decided to end our marriage. We entered our relationship with love and it’s with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn’t expected, it’s certainly appreciated.”
Another Hollywood romance crashes and burns.
At least they're realistic about things - no one is going to shut up about this for at least two weeks!
So many breakups and it's only Tuesday! Is there no hope for young love anymore?!

no shocker. these 2 are never even photograped with each other. i understand trying to keep it private but it might have been easier to embrace it and support each other and be there on their different projects. they were never together

This is what happens when you rebound so fast into another relationship after being in a serious one Ryan. They should've used time more wisely to get to know each other more before marrying each other so fast. The only good thing is that they came to the conclusion it wasn't working so they both moved without having kids it's pretty simple.

Hollywood marriages are next to impossible to last. I know its 'acting'…but if your job requires you to mack on with another person…how can jealousy and paranoia not be a factor in the relationship??

Why the hell do these celebrities keep getting married to each other?? Every day, there's at least one report of someone breaking up or cheating or "taking a break". It's pathetic! Their marriages don't work because they put their careers in front of their vows and their supposed love for each other. Marriage has absolutely no meaning or value anymore and people go in to marriage knowing it will be easy to get out if they change their mind in a few months. What a bunch of losers!!

Hmmm, so he was with Alanis when she was still popular. Then he got together with Scarlett, who was in a bunch of movies at the time, and he was still pretty unkown. Now, he gets a couple movies, the People magazine crap, and they're splitting up. If he was a woman, ppl would have a lot of names for him like, opportunist, gold digger, fame whore, etc, etc, etc.

I never got why they were together. And I never saw them together much. Maybe her and Ryan Gosling or Jake G. or him and Sandra B or Jessica Beils. But not together. They don't match.
if you cant commit to marriage then dont do it. It isnt for everyone. People are way to selfish to commit for a long time.

Ok,ok now that the world has righted itself since Ryan & Sandra have both divorced their unmatchy significant others, I too really,really want Ryan dating Sandra! They know each other for like a decade, have such great chemistry,they're very down to earth normal people, both hot, funny and have already seen each other naked lol. Who knows maybe they already seeing each other & we dont even know it
I do have to say, its sad to see a marriage end but in Hollywood is becoming pretty common. Celebrities/stars shouldn't marry if they're not going to be in it for the good & the bad(for the long haul). Just live together for chriss sake. Ryan did rush into things with Scarlo since he was just out of a serious relationship and should have taken his time to heal before getting married.

He's really down to earth, and I read somewhere along the way that he wanted a family; and she's just too young for all of that yet, and is doing the New York thing. Sad. She didn't pressure him, I read it was more the other way around.

I'm not even remotely surprised. Their whirlwind romance was a train wreck from the beginning. I told my friend that she was a rebound chick when he courted-then-married-five-seconds-later her. I said "it won't make it past two-three years tops" and voila! I rest my case.
