So is this one bigger and better?
Swedish producer Shellback, who worked on the upcoming Britney Spears album, recently gave a radio interview, and not only talked about his time in the studio with the pop sensation, but also that he and other producers - Max Martin and Doctor Luke - are auctioning off the guitar used on her first single!
Here are some HIGHlights from the interview:
Q: If you are asked to make a song/some songs for Britney's new album, what's the first step or how do you do it? It's still a lot to live up to because there are many who listen.
A: "It works in many different ways. You can make something absolutely new, or take a beat that's three years old and come up with a good sound."
Q: Has Britney or her manager called and told you what sound they are looking for, or is it free for you to choose?
A: "It's quite free, but may not have to make Spanish folk music. You should find something new and it should sound "Britney."
Q: And then you've obviously met her?
A: "Of course"
Q: How is it working with her?
A: "She's actually damn professional. You read a lot on the Internet that Britney is not singing and mimes, but she is actually damn professional. She's done it since she was 16. And just rhythmic way, she is fucking awesome! And you do not have to go through and talk about the rhythms and stuff that you sometimes have to do, she's very easy in the studio."
Q: Shellback, you Max Martin and Dr. Luke, have donated something very special for "music action" (organization), tell me about it?
A: "It is a lovely white Hag guitar (this Swedish guitar-inheritance), which is used on one of Britney's new songs."
Q: When is the album released again?
A: "The album is said to be released in March, and in January the new single will be out"
Q: The guitar I'm looking at right now is signed by you Max Martin, Dr. Luke?
Check out a picture of the guitar (above)!
It's a real beauty! And what an awesome thing to auction off!
We cannot WAIT for new Brit Brit! We wonder how prominent the guitar sound will be on the track!
