Brittany Murphy's Mother Can't Move On

We're sure it's hard for anyone who has lost a child to accept it, but it can't be healthy to pretend like it didn't happen at all - especially after a year has gone by!

Brittany Murphy's mother, Sharon Murphy, admits that she's yet to come to terms with the death of her daughter and son-in-law because of the strange circumstances under which they both died. She explains to In Touch Weekly that "just in order to function" day by day, she pretends it just didn't happen. She adds that instead, she seeks solice in remebering better times spent with them, especially her daughter. She explains:

"I'm always remembering times with her. She would always say that we grew up together, and that's true. We were so close, and such great friends… I feel their presence here. It's comforting."

She's referencing Brittany's Beverly Hills mansion - the same place Brittany was found dead in over a year ago and the same place Sharon has not left in quite some time.

She's obviously in pain and we feel really bad for her. Hope she can find some closure, poor thing.

Perez you ass it probably will take her the rest of her life to get over, it was her own child!

You are so incredibly ignorant Mario
Obviously you have never lost a "loved one"
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS CLOSURE

    p.s. especially for a PARENT

p.p.s. I SAY EVERYONE SHOULD STOP CLICKING ON COMMENTS, I INTEND TO

OBVIOUSLY MARIO IS UNDER SCRUTINY AND NEEDS AN ACCURATE COUNT TO CONTINUE HIS ADVERTISING PROMO'S

    HE SUCKS
    SICK OF HIS FAIRY BS

Perez I am sure at times she does pretend that, but not in a literal sense. She just imagines what it was like or what it would be like if she were still there.

  5. 5

Sorry, but a big part of the problem here was the "growing up together" part. She needed a parent, not a manager/friend.

But, people all deal with their grief in different ways… It doesn't matter that it's been a year…she will still be grieving for YEARS to come…actually, forever… But, it will get a LITTLE easier as she goes on trying to live her life–but it will NEVER totally go away… I realize "pretending she isn't dead" isn't exactly the BEST way to deal, but if it gives her some comfort, then, let her…

Can't feel pain when you're the one that killed her and her husband.

  8. 8

What if your precious mommy died, Perez? Would you just get over it???? Just wondering…

  9. 9

POOR LADY. SHE LOVED AND LIVED FOR HER DAUGHTER. SHE NEEDS HELP IN ORDER TO MOVE ON. I HAVE ALWAYS HEARD THAT SHE WAS AN AMAZING MOM.

I know she has medical problems of her own so I truly hope that someone is there to help her in her daily life. I loved Brittany so much and this past year I delved into all her films. She was so amazing to watch onscreen. A personal fave is the movie "Ramen Girl" which was just delightful. Sending love to heaven for Brittany and Simon. xoxoxox

as a parent who has lost a child
my first born baby daughter died 30th dec 2004
    the pain NEVER goes away
    you never get over it
you learn to live with it the best that you can
you learn to get out of bed everyday
it is not the natural order of life to bury your child
they are meant to bury you
i feel so sorry for her
if this is how she can contuine on living
then leave her the hell alone
do not judge something that you do not understand

  12. 12

How is this any of your business? What a callous thing to post.

  13. 13

I feel so sad for her, she seems like a nice lady that loved her wonderful daughter, I cant imagine how hard it is to lose 2 ppl that you were so close to in less than a year.

  14. 14

    "remebering"?????

    Jesus Christ Perez….

  15. 15

Strangest thing about Britt's SENSELESS Death is the fact Hollywood insiders like Perez decided to ignore the inconsistent stories about It & dismiss It as being an accident- where were these people years ago when She was clearly sick w/ something else besides Rx abuse? Emaciated, Jaundiced, running into light posts not just from OTCs.

  16. 16

perez take a look at how beautiful she is .. shes dead there is no closure in death

people talk about the dead for years after a death its normal

    there is no closure

  17. 17

I SAW HER ON LARRY KING WITH MONJAK AFTER BRITTANY DIED AND THEY WERE BOTH WAY OUT THERE. EVEN THEN I DIDN'T THINK SHE WAS VERY WELL ROOTED IN REALITY. SOMETIMES I WONDER HOW SHE EVEN MANAGED TO STAY ALIVE THIS LONG BECAUSE HER ENTIRE WORLD IS GONE AND SHE OBVIOUSLY HAS NO COPING MECHANISMS. I THINK BRITTANY WAS THE ANCHOR FOR ALL OF THEM. THAT'S TERRIBLY SAD REALLY.

  18. 18

I wouldn't even judge what the woman is going through because I never lost a child. You shouldn't either Perez.

  19. 19

Oh, I wish her peace and health. I can't even think what it would be like to lose a child. RIP Brittany!

Mom reach out and ask for help if you it. Stay strong.
