Harrison Ford Wants Indiana Jones To Die!

harrison ford wants indiana jones to die

Is it even worth making a fifth Indy movie just to see this happen?

Sources say that Harrison Ford has told Indiana Jones filmmakers George Lucas and Steven Spielberg that he wants his character to be killed off in the fifth film.

Here's what an insider had to say about it:

“Harrison thinks it would be good for Indy to die and pass on his hat to his son in the next one.

George especially is resisting the notion but Steven is considering it. Funnily enough Harrison wanted the same for Han Solo in the final Star Wars but George put an end to it. This time he doesn’t have all the say though.”

Guess it'd be better to see the character die in an exciting, heroic way, than another sequel.

Do U think Indiana Jones deserves to die?

How sad that would be. Send Indiana off with the aliens or send him back in time to live out his days as a god with some ancient tribe, but don't make me watch him get killed off, please!

Dude, another website posted this same article about four days ago: "Indiana Jones is going to die." About three hours later Harrison Ford's agents contacted the website and told them that it was false, four days ago.

He doesn't have to die perse, but I think its time to pass the torch (though I'm not crazy about Shia). Ford is lookin' mighty old.

Nathan Fillion would make an awesome Indiana xD

  4. 4

Why make another movie?? Don't get me wrong I enjoyed them, well…except the second one..but I kinda thought he had come full circle. The last one should remain his last one!!

That sounds like an awful idea. Harrison, how about you murder Shia LeDouche's character? That sounds like the best idea. More Indy!

Yep, it's time for old Indiana to either die-off or retire.
Harrison celebrated his 68th birthday in July. Not so believable as an action character anymore.

I think Indiana Jones (the franchise) is already dead. The last movie sucked and I wouldn't waste my money on another.

They need to kill him off in the sixth movie and title it, "Indiana Jones Six Feet Under!"

Perez you are wicked slow and have second hand news.. but if this is true, I think it could be done well, especially if it was a heroic save of his son. It could give more edge/revenge aspect to Shia's character - he was cartoonish in the last one. I hate when people get all sentimental, Indiana J was kick ass, not old and retired…

He Did! With the last Indiana Jones movie…..HE DID!

I love the Indiana Jones films.. but I'm with Harrison on this.. he did an excellent job and I think its time to let the films relish in their legacy.. (along with Saw..please please no more Saw movies.. what are we on now Saw 69?)

Re: freyja – I agree Nathan Fillon is the ish.. I love him on Castle! (actually the whole castle cast is awesome)

It would be sad….and FINAL for the franchise but there really is no disputing that epic heroes or characters DESERVE a worthy, arc-ending death. Think of Michael Corleone and how 'befitting' his final moments were. I agree with Harrison, but I think (often) in the end it is the movie makers ideas of 'where they might go next' or fan backlash that interferes were there giving immortal characters a fitting farewell.

NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! Indie can't die. It would mean the end of my childhood and I can't take that. I am sick of being forced to grow up by society.

LOL. The last movie was a total joke–sorry guys. I mean, come on. Aliens in an Indiana Jones flick? And that computerized crap with the gigantic ants and the whole driving on cliffs in the jungle was completely LAME. Plus it's impossible for him to die since he drank out of the everlasting cup AKA the Holy Grail in the Last Crusade. Technically he shouldn't even be aging so the whole discussion of him dying or being killed off is funny. Guess God will have to strike him down HAHAHAHA.

I would be okay with him being killed off by cannibals in Fiji or embalmed in Egypt after his organs are removed or eaten by piranha and then waking up in a cold sweat somewhere to be killed while having sex by some hot vixen or melting from ebola only as long as it's just a bad dream. Course he could always keel over from old age after deciphering some ancient scripts/scrolls and his son has to decode his 1/2 dead message on how to meet up with him in the afterlife lol….

  17. 17

I hope that's a false rumor. An actor can't claim a character to be at his sole disposal. The archetype that is Indiana Jones belongs to all of us, and should never be killed onscreen.

  18. 18

They just announced that this story was a complete fabrication!
You're a moron for putting up false information. & not checking your facts.
How are people supposed to take you seriously?

  19. Hun says – reply to this

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

He should not die unless it is in a cool way like his Dad did. He did not really die but became the guardian of the Holy Grail.
Absolutely do not pass on the torch to Shia!!!!!! He was awful as Indiana Jones son! His acting is terrible!!! Fine for working with giant toys but no Indiana Jones Jr.!!!
He is a wussy looking, inconsiderate jerk in real life. Like taking up two compact car spaces for his big truck and keeping a guy from getting into car and not even apologizing when he finally came back and left. He is a total douchebag!!!!
He is not HOT enough to take up after the totally Hot Harrison Ford!!! He looks like a BAD imitation not the REAL thing!!!!!!

  21. 21

i thought he was dead and harrison was dead rip harrison

  22. 22

The last movie sucked, utterly ridiculous and Shia is a joke for being Indiana's son. Let this franchise rest in peace. If another movie is to be made, Harrison ANY DAY! but pleaaaaase, no more Shia!!!!!!
