Julie Taymor Speaks Out About Spider-Man Injuries!

| Filed under: Icky Icky PooBroadway Babies

Ah! She speaks!

Julie Taymor, the director of the extremely accident prone Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark, has released the following statement regarding the now-multiple injuries various actors sustained during the troubled production.

She says:

"An accident like this is obviously heartbreaking for our entire team and, of course, to me personally. I am so thankful that Chris is going to be alright and is in great spirits. Nothing is more important than the safety of our 'Spider-Man' family and we'll continue to do everything in our power to protect the cast and crew."

We sincerely hope so, bb.

Hopefully, further precautions can be taken to ensure that something like this will NOT happen again, or anything more serious.

Obviously they weren't taking any safety precautions, and she may talk a good game, but usually people in her position are only interested in production.

She needs to put her massive all Julie all the time Lion King ego back into reality and Shut that Show Down. Okay it's not working, she blew the budget, and they need to stop putting actors and stunt people in harms way to force their dream to come true. That goes for U2 as well. I hope in her contract she's not liable for that loss. Sucks for her but that's life bb your eyes got bigger than your capabilities. It happens. Shut down the show.

Taymor is overrated. Moderately talented visual artist. She "borrows" her best ideas from the people around her. I think she knows she blew her entire talent wad on lion king (ripping "exotic" cultures, like she did for her African puppet-costumes, is her area of expertise) and she is DESPERATE to prove she can have a hit again, rather than a string of bombs like that beatles movie. I did like Titus, though.

do we really need another spider man???? please… none of them ( except the very first one) brought something new, it's all about exploring an idea, but after a while of exploring you can't go any further than bringing people to their limits and then… shits happens. just let it go already!!! it is not the time yet to explore the spider man idea any further.
