Stephen Baldwin Suing Kevin Costner
It's Waterworld meets Wall Street as Stephen Baldwin has just filed a lawsuit against Kevin Costner.
None of us have forgotten the terrible oil spill off the gulf this year that massacred the ecosystem and cost so many people so much. Apparently, one of those people hurt by the spill was Stephen, but he's not blaming BP - he's blaming Kevin for allegedly duping him.
The story goes, according to the lawsuit, that Stephen bought a 10% share in Kevin's invention that separates oil from water. Apparently, around when the spill first occured, Kevin made it seem that he had already sold his shares in the company and advised Stephen to do the same. Turns out, as we all know, Kevin didn't sell any of his shares and brought the company and the invention to the forefront of the efforts to clean up the spill.
Stephen says that he fells "duped," claiming he was told there were no plans to sell the contraption to BP and that he was forced out as a partner so more money should be shared amongst Kevin and his other partners. The deal with BP ended up bringing in more than $52 million. That's a hefty sum to be left out of!
Get a good lawyer Stephen and you might just have a case. We're interested to hear what Kevin has to say about this kind of shady dealing!

I thought Stephan WAS BROKE and lost his house, went bankrupted, and his church even set up a website for SUCKERS to send him money….
Kevin Costner has been working tirelessly the last two decades to help protect the environment, funding everything from his own pocket.
Stephen Baldwin, however, is a no-talent hack who has contributed nothing to society now trying to extort money out of pure greed! Kevin was wise to cut this moron loose.
But this begs an even bigger question: Since Baldwin is bankrupt, where did he get the funds to invest? And did the bankruptcy court know about Baldwin's investments? Baldwin even set up a website for fans to send him $$$, claiming poverty. So it looks like Stephen Baldwin is gonna' be in a heck of a lot of trouble…
America thanks you Kevin for everything you did in trying to clean up the Gulf disaster and implementing technology that prevents it from ever happening again. You're a true hero!

Sorry Perez, but Mr. Baldwin will have a hard time winning this case. Mr. Costner is not his Financial Advisor. Saying he sold his shares because Mr. Costner made him believe he sold his own shares is not enough to build a case on. Why is his decision to buy or sell shares dependent on what Mr. Costner does.
But I must say, I smell an insider trading case going on here. Mr. Costner owning shares of a company in which he oversees the talk to help BP. Mmm. Sounds fishy. Did he rack up shares before he talked to BP? Looks like a case of "No Chinese Wall"
