Check out (above) the first two promos for the upcoming American version of The X Factor, set to air on FOX in the Fall of 2011!

We're starting to get psyched! This is going to be HUGE!

There was another promo that was released a few weeks ago?

Did they bush the release back to Fall? I Thought at one point it was starting out in the spring/summer?

I'm excited too but does anyone else think that Americans may be offended by the resemblance of this building in X shape to the twin towers? I think it's in poor taste

  6. 6

is it necessary to have a 20 second add for an 11 second video? really?

  7. 7

How is X Factor different than, say, American Idol or America's Got Talent?

  8. 8

Perez … what is with the sudden fascination with X-Factor? That's all you post about lately.

  9. 9

    Flop.

I think this will be rubbish compared the UK version. Filled with country twangs and middle of the road performances.

Re: secretstar – The main difference is that there are no age limit, groups can compete and they are broken down into 4 categories, boys and girls under 25, groups and over 25. The judges then take the contestants in each category under their wings and coach them on a weekly basis. One thing I like is they provide elaborate staging for their performances like dancers, background singers and props just like you see in award shows and all contestants live in a big mansion throughout the show. The production budget for X Factor is much bigger than AI or AGT. I hope they bring Brian Friedman as the creative director….he does a fantastic job.

An advert to watch another, shorter advert? Erm… no.

I hope this means the X factor here in the UK doesn't have long left!
