Cheaper Concert Tickets In 2011?

| Filed under: Music MinuteLady GaGaBusiness Blitz

concert ticket prices may get lower in 2011

Looks like concert prices MAY be more reasonable next year.

Concert promoters are reportedly planning to cut ticket prices in an effort to get fans back out to shows in 2011.

After poor concert attendance in 2010, promoters have said that they'll change their tactics by charging less for tickets and making the effort to sell more t-shirts and other merchandise to compensate.

Of course, this will probs only apply to artists who haven't been filling up seats.

Those GaGa tickets are unlikely to go down in price TOO much…but at least they're worth absolutely every penny!

Will U go to more concerts in 2011 if ticket prices go down?

its sad that perez can't post a generic story about music and/or things relating to music without having to somehow link it to Lady Gaga… whats sad is that I really did like her… until I got annoyed with perez constantly shoving her down my throat.. and now unfortunatly, I am sick of her. And that stupid Alejandro song made no sense…!!!

Why the HELL is he talking about Lady Gaga again?!?! he really is RUINING her!

honestly cause you go to see madonna 200. tshirt 50! 50 for a tshirt? what the fuck is wrong with that?

I see your head is still stuck up CACA's ass.

while you may think Lady Gaga is the end all and be all of music, her days are numbered. outrageous attire and extravagant stage productions only go so far—talent is long lasting–and fortunately for us, she has none. I for one would gladly continue to pay a high price to see and hear a "real" singer (christina aguilera, sade, mariah carey, coldplay and all those other really talented singers) I feel if you're not going to sing live you don't have the right to charge more than $50 for your "concert".

The Real problem is Stub Hub and ticket scalpers re-selling tickets for twice the original price.

Fuck the whole industry. If these hypocritical "artists" continue to do business with sleazy corporations like Ticketmaster and Live Nation, then people need to quit going to any concerts, no matter how much they lower prices.

it's impossible to get a decent seat for less than $100 anymore. i say forget it. i got over the disappointment of really being able to enjoy a concert a few years ago. same for professional sporting events. let's hear it for the minor leagues and staying home and watching HDTV!

I think its funny the pic is from a Taylor Swift concert and he throw out GaGA and never mentions Taylor!

perez, you seem to take ANY story that has to do with nothing and relate it to her, i love Gaga so much, but seriously you need to take it down a bit

Yes and if you raise the quality of music that'll help too. Time for a revolution in music like Post-Bands music the music that is different from what rock/rap/country/pop have become. Good music is back and no suits are a part of it - so the media is against it.

    "Poor concert attendance."
Funny how Adam Lambert's concert /entire/ tour was basically sold out. ;]

    Yes I will!

And guys, he might have mentioned GaGa (not only because he is a fan of her) but also because Lady Gaga's ticket price is INCREDIBLY high, due to the costume, and the scenario, the many dancers… there are many things in the Gaga show that make it expensive… and that's the reason why the prize might NOT fall too much… and that's the reason he mentioned.

However I believe that he doesn't find any excuse to mention her, if not that YOU find any excuse to critize her.

I REALLY hope the priice goes down,. there's nothing better than attending to a good concert!
