Good man! It's so important to give back!

According to reports, Garth Brooks did a major solid for the city of Nashville by performing a string of concerts in the area. Sources are reporting that fans came in droves to the city for the gigs and spent a rather sizable fortune on local albums.

So, just how much did the shows raise?

An astounding $10 million!

That's on top of the pre-Christmas $3 million dollars raised for the local flood victims through the gigs!

Wowza! That's a present Nashville surely needed.

So tell us Mario, if it's so important to give back, what do you do after feeding off the sweat of others? Hmmmmmm?

But couldn't you have found a better picture of him?

My friends and I drove 3 1/2 hours to see one of these Nashville shows. It was so amazing! He ended up doing 3 encores! We all had a blast and it was all for a good cause.

I live in Nashville and work in the "industry". His concerts not only raised money for an amazing cause, but it also helps stimulate the local economy on SO MANY levels. If only all celebrities gave back the way he does…

I'm not a big Garth Broooks fan. But, as a Nashville resident, I really appreciate what he did. And the tickets were only $25. In a bad economy, that in itself was a gift to the concert goers of the NINE shows. And it raised a lot of money for people here who have still not been able to get back on their feet. Most of the people and businesses affected did not have flood insurance. WTG Garth!

I am disappointed that this is the first time you are writing about this- he announced these shows in October I think. Nashville was devastated and it seems like everyone in America cares more about what happens outside of our country than what happens within our own borders. I went to one of the concerts and it was amazing! Thank God for the country music industry working to help save the people and businesses of Nashville.
