Veteran British actor Pete Postlethwaite passed away on Sunday at the age of 64.

The Oscar nominated Postlethwaite was suffering from a long battle with cancer.

Actor David Schneider recalls about Pete:

"Anyone who worked with him felt great affection for him. He was very un-actory. Sort of like a national treasure. There is so much affection for him; he was a wonderful actor and a wonderful bloke."

Postlethwaite is survived by his wife and two children.

I am so saddened by this…I love him in every role he plays. What a loss for the acting community…

  6. 6

Oh no :( So sad! Was a very charismatic man and a great actor.
    Rip.

Look at this dudes body of work and he was great in the movie "Town". Great actor and never had any shit put out on the street about him. Class act!

You're only summing him up as the Inception actor in your title? Really? The guy has a lengthy and amazing film roster, and he is one of the greats to ever grace the screen. He's amazing in everything he does (well, did). He wasn't just in Inception (which his part was small in), Perez. Go watch "In the Name of the Father" and appreciate how great of an actor he was.

  9. 9

Oh. He was that guy with the weird eye from James and the Giant Peach movie.

  10. 10

Couldn't you have used a nicer pic Perez? This ones makes a great actor and a fine man look like like an alcoholic tramp!

He was in Inception for like five minutes, watch In The Name of the Father. And fosh, he was even in Romeo and Juliet, so you can jizz over Leonardo Di Caprio as well.

RIP Pete… Very sad. 'In the Name of the Father' is my all-time fave, he was just brilliant in that. Agreed you could have used a nicer pic of him though Perez ;)
