Mother And Brother Of Gay Suicide Victim Speak Out

| Filed under: TV NewsGay Gay GayInspirationSad Sad

Truly heartbreaking. Such a brave family.

Ever since 13-year-old Seth Walsh tragically took his life in September after being the victim of relentless bullying in school over his sexuality, his mother Wendy has become an outspoken advocate for gay youth, in hopes to prevent a similar kind of fate from happening to anyone else.

Check out this truly touching clip of she, as well as Seth's brother Shawn, speaking out about their horrible loss on The Nate Berkus Show (above).

Such beautiful and poignant words from that young man. Our hearts truly go out to both of them.

Keep speaking up, you guys! We know it's difficult, but your voices need to be heard!

too bad they didn't get this kid to a mental health expert to straighten him out.

    That show is still on?

Such a sad story and very brave of that little boy to speak out. He is so young to have to go through all of this. For a mother to loose a child is just not right. I pray for all of the family.

Re: fairmaiden – What about all the straight kids that kill themselves? Why doesn't anyone care about them?

The GAYS don't get to own bullying…..we all got picked on in high school.

bad enough you want to take away our marriage, now you want to own bullying…..knock it off……prop 8 didn't pass for a reason….we are sick of the constant whining…."what about meeee….."

I blame the parents who let their kids bully others, that kind of behavior start at home, this country is raising kids to be bigots, ignorant and lonely.

So sad for a parent to burry his own child and very sad for a little sibling to lose his brother like that.

Gay or straight, let's stop bullies in this country and around the world.

    Pace all'anima sua.

The brother needs to get a haircut before people star questioning his sexuality too.

It sucks that this kid chose to kill himself as a result of bullying. Where was his mom then to teach him how to cope with such things? Life is hard you need to learn to deal with it.

"Check out… she…"??? Perez, you seriously need grammar lessons!

  12. 12

    So sad.
Schools need a zero tolerance policy for bullies.
People deserve to live their lives in peace: Gay or straight.

Re: buck – What do you mean by that?

I can't understand why anyone would want to bully anyone? Gay people are given the rough end of the stick all the time nowadays too, almost like they are the scapegoat for all the worlds problems. People should check their own selves before they pick on others.

  14. 14

Oh Perez don't act like you care YOU are a BULLY yourself!!!

  15. 15

PEREZ IS A BULLY HIMSELF. HYPOCRITE
