As America flocks to Broadway to watch one superhero
stumble soar, the Brits are getting their own action-packed show to enjoy! (Let's hope it avoids the same, um, complications that Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark has had to deal with!)
Batman Live is set to premiere in Manchester shortly and creators of the show are finally giving a first look at what to expect from the arena show. That stage show will travel across Britain and Ireland for several performances, and is being toted as an amazing "spectacle." We're told it has everything from phenomenal acrobatic feats to outlandish pyrotechnics to set the mood as the Dark Knight battles evil to the delight of an audience in the round.
As for the nitty-gritty, the show will be roughly 85 minutes long, integrating live action theatrics alongside a large video wall that will interact with the story and the actors.
Judging from the set design pictures (above), it's going to be one hell of a show - but is it on par with the mayhem over on 42nd Street in New York? Guess will have to wait for its debut to find out?
Any of U Brits plan on catching the show?
