Listen To This: Another New Obsession!

Such a great week for new music!!!!

We LOVE discovering new talent! It always excites us so much!

If you like Annie Lennox or Stevie Nicks, then we think you will really Clare Maguire!

We are captivated by the British songstress' soulful voice and catchy tunes!!!

She is VERY promising!!!

Check out the power-pop brilliance of Last Dance (above).

Its a nice song, but her voice threw me off. She sounds so - old. Literally sounds like a singer from the 80's or something. Weird.

A lot of these kids are the victims of their producers. This woman is obviously talented and has a great voice, but her producer is drowning it out with an overpowering "wall of sound" effect that makes her voice fad into the din, rather than stand out. The "wall of sound", created first by Phil Spector, was a great gimmick for its time, but it's time to leave it where it belongs, in the ancient past of the 60s. Already by the 70s it was old hat and should have been banned from recording studios. My advice to this girl is to get herself a producer who features her voice above all else.

You should have posted "Aint nobody" (Breakage remix) now thats quality.

Do you just read the BBC's list of who's going to be big and replicate it?

Hint: Poppy and the Jezebels. You'll love them, Mollie Kingsley is a massive bitch.

OMG, it is FINALLY time you introduced her to the US. Her song Aint Nobody remixed by Breakage is the best thing I have ever heard….goosebump city…
If people would listen to BBC Radio one on Sirius they would hear all of this great music sooner…. American radio sucks….Our DJ's have a thing or two to learn about a radio show…. listen to Zane, Fearne, Sara Cox for starters…

is it just me or does any one else miss hearing real instruments with people playing them :(

It's not just you Lindzdrum. I miss actual drums and pianos. And people singing without a technician tinkering their voices for them. A person, on a stage, with a mic and an acoustic guitar. If someone could pull that off you knew they were talented. Unfortunately this chick is just not my cup of anything.

I hated this song when I first heard it, but it got stuck in my head. It's officially an obsession.
