As a parent myself, I agree with him totally. There should be other kind of shows that could inspire teens into something better. The only messege you can get from Teen Mom is that you shouldnt do their same mistake. Period.

  2. 2

Id rather watch that than the filthy homo lifestyle HE puts across millions of tv screens. Getting simulated head from a dude in prime time!! Just STFU Glambert!!

  3. 3

That show is god awful but its mtv what do ppl expect?

  4. 4

Um….I really don't think Adam is in any position to talk about "Inspiring Kids"….especially after his nasty controversial performance at the AMA's during "family hours". ALthough I do agree with his comment.

  5. 5

Yes, the message about that show is that being a teen mom is hard and to avoid it. But for him to use the term "white trash" for that show goes to show the kinds of stereotypes he uses. Sad.

  6. 6

Umm.. I see him commenting on the show in general.. i don't see anywhere where his tweet says Amber Portwood specifically.. way to be an asshole Perez.

  7. 7

and yea.. this guy whos gotten flack for all sorts of ish really isnt sitting in a position where he should be throwing stones…. GO Kiss some more boys lame ass

  8. 8

She is part of the reason why I often can't sympathise with teenage mothers. Of course, some of them have wound up pregnant due to terrible incidences such as rape but with the majority it's just down to pure stupidity (eg OMGz you're the love of my life let's get married before we're 17 and mooch off the state forever/OOPS look what happened when I got drunk last night…).
I'm an 18 year old girl and I can imagine I would have a lot more respect for myself and my family than to sign up for a program that plays out their lives like some kind of theatre show. I only feel sorry for the children…..

  9. 9

Ironically, I think Adam bears a striking resemblance to Amber Portwood. Anyone?

    10

Seriously? Adam lambert is the epitome of white trash! Here's a guy taking it up the ass, wearing makeup, a huge homo and a huge loser talking shit about another of his kind. Strange. Pot meet kettle!

  11. 11

    He is sooo right!!!
And btw, I adore him!!!!! He is so talented and hot and I love his voice.

  12. 12

As a friend of someone who is on 16/Pregnant I can tell you that MTV will spin shit and edit things…make the girls say things…to make the show more entertaining. I would take the drama with a grain of salt.

  13. 13

love how the whitest of trash calls out his fellow white trash…if glamshit wants to aim higher he should return to school cause writing "they're are" is what makes him the idiot that he is. He can defend grabbing crotches and making out with guys to get a reaction, but calls that being "authentic"…he's a total disgrace!

  14. 14

Be thankful for the raging queen gay community or this kid would have no career. What a joke.

  15. 15

Very few followers said anything negative about this. Most were in complete agreement with the fact that this show was sending the wrong signals as to the word "role model." On stage, Adam may get frisky but personally the guy is a class act 100%.

  16. 16

As much as I dont like this guy I agree with him totally. That show is retarded and depressing.

  17. 17

Re: kissmyassobama – Amen….and I love your username!

  18. 18

oh plz you people love 2 throw that award show in the guys face every chance you get, like he has done nothing else 4 the last year i prefer the dude kissing 2 more ignorant girls having kids

This shows comes on every week, showing some trashy teens pregnant, and some even get preggers just to get on the show…

    and that is fucking sad

  19. 19

    Re: kissmyassobama
Geez it happened once, over a year ago, get over it and yourself while you are at it!!!!!!!!!!!

  20. 20

Adam calling names, is he?…Must live in a glass house…

  21. 21

I disagree. Teen mom shows the struggles and difficulties that teenagers face when they get pregnant at a young age.
Come on, what about those other reality shows like Jersey Shore, that show is disgusting, "having random one night stands w/strangers and get rich off and famous off of it." Where is the downside and struggle to that??? Or what about shows that glorifies sex tape whores? Oh lets give them a reality show!!! Where is the downside to that??

  22. 22

Re: Sgirl – Adam is a performer and that is what he does. His performances are geared for the type of audience he has . He made a mistake over a year ago and you assholes won't let go of it. I bet you never did anything wrong..being so pure and innocent as you all are!!! That show is about real life events and it is sad that MTV exploits these girls this way. Yes Adam should not of used the term "white trash"! Poor choice of words!

  23. 23

He's right, teen mom is a bad example for children&teenagers.
Adam is so down to earth, love him so much!

  24. @v@ says – reply to this

    24

Agree with Adam here. Ambulance chaser programming. The Walton's, it ain't.

  25. 25

OK, so you're saying that this show gives wrong message to the kids. What kind of message is your favorite "guidette" giving then? And the other Jersey Shore idiots?

  26. 26

It does inspire teens.. it shows teens how NOT to live their lives

  27. 27

    he's right.

  28. Melll says – reply to this

    28

I have gotten sucked into watching that show more than once despite myself, it's like I can't look away from the train wreck. I feel bad for those girls and yet simultaneously wanna yell at them. Adam's right, the show is depressing, and I need flip past it instead of watching, I'm part of the problem keeping it going.

As for people bitching about Adam, the partnership charity he set up with DonorsChoose has raised over half a million dollars for kids arts programs in schools. What you YOU done lately?

That award show was more than a year ago. Adam just got a Grammy nom. Move on, he has.

  29. chiro says – reply to this

    29

He's got alot of nerve! He's no role model. He's every parents biggest fear of their child growing up to be.

  30. 30

    Re: hellok1tty – youre right. i agree.

  31. open says – reply to this

    31

he is corret though. Why can't they have a reality show showing kids who are ambitious and trying to succeed in this world?! something positive for a change!! ugh.

  32. open says – reply to this

    32

Re: Sgirl – umm.. obviously you have zero clue on what white trash really means. umm.. ok. whatever.

  33. 33

"Teen Mom" does trivialize the issues it pretends to explore, and it exploits the young women and men portrayed. I'm a huge Adam fan. (I don't like the term "white-trash," though. Oh, well - he's not a politician, he's an entertainer. His stage antics are not serious issues like teen pregnancy and domestic violence, so comparing them is pointless, and - obviously - homophobic spew is just that.

  34. 34

He's right. And so what, he kissed another guy. This stupid ass show glamourize the these skanky teen white trash hillbillies.

  35. 35

Perez, you a$$. Adam was not talking about Amber Portwood, he was commenting on the show "Teen Mom". The show is crap. I agree with Adam, it's not a good show for young people.

  36. 36

Re: chiro – you're wrong. stop trying to speak for every parent in the world.
and if your biggest fear is a child turning up to be gay, instead of a murderer, rapist etc….then that is just sad.

  37. 37

Why would anyone care about what he thinks?

  38. 38

some people are too sensitive! they cling on to every single word he says!
the dude has the right to have an opinion, and people gotta stop hating on him simply because he has one.

  39. 39

Agreed! Shoot higher than the lowest common denominator!

  40. 40

It's so easy to judge, isn't it? Whatever…

  41. 41

Re: kissmyassobama – wow bumbass that wasOVER A YEAR AGO! get over it!

  42. 42

    Re: chiro
I would be thrilled if a child of mine grew up to be like Adam Lambert.
    Talented, beautiful, friendly, successful…

  43. 43

I think this show does inspire teens to shoot higher, i.e. don't become like these morons. It shows how hard it is to be a teen parent. Amber and Farrah's legal problems are showing this too. They even did a study and said teen pregnancy rates are down since the show started airing (don't know how much these things are related though). Inspiring teens to be careful so they can do better is the point of the show.

  44. 44

Re: Niraha Harris – He also admits to drug use and having casual sex with strangers. Class act.

  45. 45

Couldn't agree more, Adam! Whether they are "white trash" are not, that's the way they are being portrayed and they're letting it happen so that they can have their 15 minutes! The fact that everybody involved in that show is exploiting and glorifying teen pregnancy is so disheartening.

  46. 46

I agree with him.. yeah he does some crazy shit.. but the thought of that ungrateful, terrible bitch getting all that money when she does such a crappy job of taking care of her kid and her baby daddy is a fucking idiot.. it just makes me sick.. i think he's right..

  47. 47

Who cares what this nobody thinks? He's just one of the losers from AI.

  48. 48

Obviously Mad Dog, you must care enough to actually post here dumbass. And that's "grammy nominated" nobody to YOU.

It amazes me that in this day and age people can still spout off homophobic crap like kissmyassobama and not feel a twinge of guilt about it. But then again, internet trolls are usually little men with little wee wees that still live in mommy's basement. Get over the AMA's- they happened over a year ago.

  49. 49

Re: AshleyDuh – Oh my God Ashley! You mean a 27 year old single guy has SEX? And has done drugs? Wow I don't know anyone like THAT! The HORROR!!!!!

  50. 50

this show sends a mixed message, On one hand you're showing teens the difficulties of having a child, but on the other, they are seeing if you get on a MTV show, you get to make lots of money exploiting your situation - In addition, no matter how much these kids are receiving, it is adding to their stressful situations by airing their private affairs - They are not adults, they are kids that made an error in judgement that led to a lifetime commitment to a child, I feel adults, or responsible teens get this but the audience who really needs to heed the warning is being lost in the drama and spotlight

  51. 51

Honestly, I don't know why everyone thinks it encourages bad things. Every time I watch that show I'm so happy that I didn't get pregnant as a teenager.

Everyone I talks to says it freaks them out about having sex at a young age.

Now, does it have some great message? Sort of yes and sort of no. Not having sex as a kid is a good message, but I agree that we could be encouraging better things. But "If you really knew me" is pretty good at that, I'd say. But none of those girls should be getting so much money from MTV. Yeah, they're teenage mothers, but they got themselves into it. They don't deserve to have the easy way out with a network.

But who is he to talk? Seriously, why must you love anyone who is gay? Adam is an attention whore. He does stuff for shock.

  52. 52

    I

  53. 53

hahaha this is funny coming from the man in the monkey suit, white trash? He should know that term like the back of his hand. His Glamberts are the epitomy of white trash. Have you seen the pics OMG!!!!!!!!

  54. 54

  55. 55

Whoa!! All this trash talk about Adam over an opinion. Must be Eminem followers….OK to sing about White Trash (Party) and put down homosexuals in his lyrics. Adam…..not OK to tweet talk.

    Double standard much,People??

Poor Adam. Gets called all kinds of nasty things (never making a big deal out of any of it) by the same peeps who are attacking him and then when he makes a statement about a troubling subject (not the Amber girl specifically, btw),he gets it again.

I guess 'trash' mouth comes in all sorts of packages, right Derek78,hoochpit and others?

  56. 56

    Re: toyouxwithlove

There's a huge difference between a performer who uses shock antics and a young girl who deliberately gets pregnant so that she can appear on a reality show.

Where do you think Gaga,Madonna, and countless other artists would be right now if they didn't shock? One is entertainment, the other is obvious exploitation!!

  57. 57

i totally agree with him, im 25 and watched a couple episodes cause i felt like shit but as i watched more episodes i cant help but get depressed for THEM. These girls/children who don't even bother having safe sex, get pregnant, the toughest part isnt being pregnant, it's taking care of their child. you can't tell me all these girls want to keep their baby? not that i fully support abortion but most of these girls are idiots when it comes to relationships and sex.

And fyi, i cant stand this gay.

  58. 58

Re: hellok1tty – you must have as much class as the girls on that show, if you really consider what 10 11 pm as family hours for tv

  59. 59

Even though he's had some questionable actions, I completely agree with him on this one. The hashtag doesn't bother me at all. It does glorify white trash. I'm white and I'm not offended.

  60. 60

When Adam Lambert becomes a mother, then I will listen to what he has to say on this subject!!!

  61. 61

    It is a shit show.

The hashtag is a bit controversial because it's not just white trash but the early pregnancy with no prospects stuff is bad for people to believe in.

  62. 62

    Re: AshleyDuh
So? He's in his late 20s.
He did shrooms at Burning Man, I read a while back, big whoop. Who DOESN'T do *something* at Burning Man?
I'm pro-natural 'drugs' anyway, though, so I'm biased.

As for the casual sex… so? Although I'm not a fan, as long as he's safe, who cares? Again, he's in his late 20s. He knows what he's doing.

Neither of those 'slams' mean much at all, especially not in this day and age and ESPECIALLY when talking about celebrities/Hollywood.

  63. 63

I agree with Adam. MTV should just turn that M upside down into Whitetrash Television. With their original mission now completely absent, their top programming consists of Jersey Shore and Teen Mom. It's most promoted new series is Skins. There is a time and a network for these shows. To air them on a network that is watched nearly exclusively by high schoolers and college-age kids shows absolutely no respect for American youth. Honestly, I'm barely 30 and lived a lot of the lives they portray. It's one thing to live out the storylines of all their shows and live to regret it. It is another to script it, tape it, promote it as real and call it entertainment for the masses. All the "stars" of the network live million dollar lives and makes one wonder if they could be "discovered" by having the same virtues. I don't watch MTV anymore.

  64. 64

Let's see……….MTV = Music Television. A station that plays no music videos but only trashy reality TV. MTV = Trash TV and has a #whitetrash viewing audience. There is this really trashy side to Americans and some of the posters on this site embody and embrace their not so inner trashiness.

  65. 65

I agree with him. All those girls are white trash.

  66. 66

Show's premise sucks, sure, but don't call other ppl names. Not very nice.

  67. 67

Teen Mom is not glorifying teen pregnancy even a little bit! If you are keeping up with this Amber Portwood drama (which I know you are, Perez, as you've proven by your need to update us every few minutes) then you you can easily see how that kind of lifestyle is far from glamorous. I do think it is ridiculous how much she is being paid for being a terrible mother, and true most of the people on the show ARE white trash. I think the creators of the show had good intentions of raising awareness to young teens to be safe, but the stars of the show are the ones setting terrible examples.

  68. 68

Adam Lambert will be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PERFECT, if they ever make a biopic
of Liberace as a teenager; FOR REAL !!!!!!!! IM SERIOUS AS A HEART ATTACK !!!!!!!!!!
