Well, this didn't take long at all!

Spike TV is prepping the release of a new reality show, called Coal, which will feature a group of miners from West Virginia!

Thom Beers will produce the ten-episode series, focused on the Cobalt Mine, its co-owners Mike Crowder and Tom Roberts, their families, and the town's community!

Inneresting!

Definitely is pretty in line with Beers' other shows, like Deadliest Catch and Ice Road Truckers, so we think it will fit right in!

Let's just hope that there are no incidents on this show like the one that surely spurred this trend!

What do U think?? Are U interested in Coal??

    Perez!
You wrote about the swedish band "jj" a couple of months ago.
They've just released a mixtape, "Kills", sampling Kanye Wests Matt Lauer interview, George Bush, Nicki Minaj dissing Lil Kim and all kinds of stuff.
Might be something for your whole gossip-idea you've got here?
    Its quite amazing actually.

Hell yes! There is lots of coal and they make lots of electricity with it.
It would make us appreciate the effort that goes behind it.

I live in East Kentucky where coal is king and people are taught to respect and fear it. However the coal industry treats people like numbers, and communities suffer. Our cancer rates are high and our environment is paying the ultimate price so that America can have "cheap" energy. But you'll never see that on the show, because as far as Kentucky, West Virginia and Virginia go we have no government to look out for us, everyone is in the pocket of the company.

the heroes in that ordeal were the scientists that saved them, those miners were victims not heroes…
