Steve Martin And Paul McCartney Get Their Bluegrass On

steve martin and paul mccartney collaborate musically

Way to go, Paul! First, you land a gig performing at the Royal Wedding, and now you'll be collaborating with the Father of the Bride! Pretty exciting.

Comedian/bluegrass musician Steve Martin is currently working on his second album Rare Bird Alert, and Paul McCartney will be a featured artist on the record.

Here's what Martin had to say about McCartney's involvement with his album:

“It's very hard to believe. I was a kid when I first heard Paul McCartney, and if you told me one day that he'd be singing one of my tunes, I'm still flabbergasted.”

Maybe you can also get Paul to perform in your next movie, Steve.

And yes, that's our way of saying that we'd like to see U on the big screen once again at some point, bb!

Are U intrigued by a Steve Martin/Paul McCartney bluegrass collaboration?

Steve Martin is a really fine banjo player, as well as comedian.

Banjos? Bluegrass? WTF?? This isn't 1913…Old people are so weird sometimes

He's actually pretty good. I'm not much of a country/bluegrass fan, but he can play a mean banjo.

It's just older guys doing what they do….. Hats off to the skills, come on!!!

Banjos may never have a future but why not keep em alive like a rare, endangered species?
