Rejoice art enthusiasts! You have a new place of worship now!
Yesterday, St. Petersburg in Florida was the place to be if you had a pencil-thin mustache and a love of Surrealist art. The brand new Salvador Dali Museum opened, after a $36-million remodel, to put on display a priceless collection of the artist's work.
In replacing the old museum, the place has expanded to twice the exhibition space as well as new striking architecture by Yann Weymouth. Taking into account that this is considered the world's most comprehensive collection of Dali's work, the place was also upgraded in hurricane protection too.
Brilliant! Maybe we'll make it down there one day!
Any of U planning a trip to the museum?
