Winklevoss Twins Bring Facebook To Court…Again

winklevoss twins take facebook to court again

Just in time for The Social Network's DVD release!

Looks like The Winklevoss twins, who feel they were screwed over by Jesse Eisenberg Mark Zuckerberg, are back in court.

Yesterday, judges from the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal reviewed the twins' proposal to have "a 2008 settlement between themselves and Zuckerberg tossed."

For those of you who haven't seen The Social Network, the twins claim that Facebook stole their idea, and they're looking for a larger payout than the one they received in 2008, which their lawyers argue "did not match the multi-billion dollar valuation of Facebook."

Zuckerberg's lawyer E. Joshua Rosenkranz has dismissed these new arguments by the twins Winklevoss, claiming that they "struck a deal that made them very, very rich, and it is making them richer by the day. At some point it is time to move on."

Guess we'll see if the twins are able to argue more money out of Facebook. Worse comes to worst, at least The Social Network is getting more free publicity!

Do U think The Winklevoss twins deserve more money from Facebook?

I don't think that they deserved the $66,000,000 they got let alone any more. They had a limited concept that they couldn't actually do themselves & wanted to keep it to the make only about people that mattered to them - Harvard people & Mark Zuckerberg - used none of their code & used a concept & had to pay them $66,000,000 for an idea that they had that I could probably go ahead & sue the these asshats for cause maybe I had the same idea before them but they stole it. Yes, Mark Zuckerberg may have been a little shady with how he was with them but they they wanted an elitist group & he saw more & he did it. This is a case of 2 spoiled elitist snobs not getting their way so they will keep coming back for more until they do.

It might have been their idea for Harvard and that was the limit. Mark Zuckerberg has made the idea a reality and made the company what it is today with the help of his people. If they had done it who is to say that they would have had the same success & vision and made the idea as valuable as he has. They didn't even have the technical know-how so how could they have foreseen the company's future and its possibilities?

these zombie twins still want more?? they need to put on their Olympic-hopeful rowing panties and row far away. those idiots got plenty. so what if it was their idea? Zuckerberg was actually able to groom it, refine it and make it work. what a couple of greedy douches -

First off, with a name like Winklevoss they should be shot, not payed. Secondly, anyone that gets 66 million for basically nothing, then want's more, again should be shot. What fucking losers, get a god damn job instead of trying to steal other peoples hard earned money.

So much less attractive than the movie Winklevoss' lol.

They will never get over it, and they will never move on. Maybe it's all they will ever have going for themselves.

Why keep suing if they've already been made wealthy unless it's on principle?
Who would want to go through that?

The only thing Zuckerberg should offer is paid therapy for a year for those two.

Ummm… how can they do this? The case was SETTLED. Doesn't that mean that Mark Z is no longer in the wrong? He's moved on. We've moved on. It's time for the twins to move on.

  12. 12

Fuck no they dont. they already got more than they deserve…

The whole concept of a social network was well developed long before Zukerberg or these two loser frat-boy brothers ever thought of the idea, so if anyone deserves the money, it's friendster and Myspace, not the two spoiled brothers.

Wow. Hope they blow the whole $66,000,000 on legal fees only to lose in court.

I thought the Winklevi were dinks in the movie. In real life, they look even more insipid and boring. I hope they drown on their next little canoe outing.

There is a difference between having an idea and having the knowledge, creativity and thought process to make that idea a success. Many different successful projects were around long before they became successes, someone just finally came around and figured out how to promote and execute the project successfully.

They got $66,000,000 for having an idea to launch a social networking site at Harvard, that's it. If they want the decision thrown out they should be prepared to give the money back and to possibly lose. What the hell else do they want? Greedy bastards.

Re: flickgur – LOSER? Are you fucking mad? If he was a loser he'd no being sued by these twins. They thought about it but they didn't know how to develop the idea. It's too easy to come up with ideas. Difficult is to make them work and succeed. They've already got too much money for doing nothing. Give me a break!

  19. 19

    PURE greed.

Yes, they deserve a lot more!
