First Look At Kellie Pickler's Wedding!

| Filed under: Love LineAmerican IdolKellie Pickler

They really look so happy, don't they?

Check out this gorgeous official wedding picture of Kellie Pickler and her husband, songwriter Kyle Jacobs, during their private ceremony in Antigua (above)!

The American Idol singer recently explained that the couple had planned a much more elaborate celebration in Nashville, when they realized that they had gotten overwhelmed with silly details, instead of focusing on what they considered to be important!

She elaborates:

"When two people get married, it's not about the glamour. It's about the bride and groom and God. We didn't have anything but us and God and our minister, and I can't think of a word that can quite describe how perfect it was."

Well, it certainly looks that way, bb! Just lovely!

We can't tell you how excited we are for you!

Congratulations again!

What do you mean she could've married someone better? Do you know him? Do you know how he treats her? That's a pretty harsh statement to make about someone. My only opinion is that yes, marriage is between a bride and groom, but it's also very much the blending of two families. I think it's a little selfish to elope and only make it about the two of you. You're bringing two families together for life. I think they all shoud've been there to celebrate that. Other than that, they look beautiful and happy!

I totally get what she's saying. When I was trying to plan my wedding my family started getting involved and tried to tell me how to do it. We got pissed and disinvited everyone except our parents, and we did it at home, on a week night. Of course we had a party that following weekend for the family and showed the video of the ceremony. Lots of people were pissed and didn't come for the reception - and I couldn't have cared less. It shows you who really is there to support YOU, and who only thinks of themselves. Way to go Pickler!!

Marriage is about two individuals. My parents and my husbands parents never talk or see each other. Our families are not blended together. I dont know why people always turn private events into a circus. It's not a show, it's not about how much money you spent, it's not even about the parents of the couple - it's about the love and respect two people want to share for the rest of their lives! The marriage is between them and no one else. If they choose to go it alone, all the better for it. It shows that they are getting married for the right reasons - for love, not for a show.
