Re: jio1623 – He doesn't need to. Spidey IS scrawny. He has the proportion strength of a spider (he can life a city bus with ease). They should have went with 2nd. choice Neil Fifer as the villain though. He's twice+ the size of this guy, and would have shown off Spidey's strength well.

I think AG is a good actor and all, but this feels like Edward Norton's Hulk 2.0 all over again - too soon for a reboot and everyone's still played out from the last franchise. Edward Norton is a great actor too, but no one gave a shit

Andrew Garfield looks way more like Peter Parker than Tobey Maguire ever did, but at least Tobey put on some muscle for the role! Andrew is looking a but too skinny, which is why I was surprised they had already started shooting the new Spider-Man as I thought they would take some time for Andrew to work out a bit…

I don't know. I KIND of agree with someone up there about the Hulk reboot being too soon, but then again this could work. It does have Emma Stone, AG, Sally Field, Martin Sheen, and many more HUGE names. The Hulk did have Ed Norton, and what was left of Liv Tylers face in it, but that movie was HORRIBLE. I did not even watch more than 15 minutes of that crapfest. This movie could go either the same way as that OR ridiculous and awesome.
