The Lindsay Drama Just Never Ends!

Lindsay Lohan just can't catch a break.

This morning, the Riverside County District Attorney sent authorities to the home of Dawn Holland to question her about Lindsay. You'll recall that Dawn is the former Betty Ford worker who claimed she was attacked by LiLo, went to the presses with her story, then decided not to press any charges against the star.

Well, the D.A. isn't interested in being that forgiving, so he had his people show up, without warning, to the woman's home to grill her more about the incident. This is after, mind you, her lawyer explicitly told them she has nothing to add to her original statement and wanted no further part in the investigation. Since they completely disregarded Miz Holland's request, her lawyer fired off a second letter to the D.A., requesting AGAIN that his client be left alone.

In the letter, he writes that Dawn "does not desire prosecution of Ms. Lohan and that any communication with Ms. Holland is to go through my office." He added that this mornings ambush at her home was "a blatant attempt to stomp on the 6th Amendment [right to counsel]."

Call us crazy, but we don't think they care. Sounds like the D.A. has a vendetta against Lindsay and he isn't going to stop until he blows up the Parliament nails her for her crimes.

Hope you're lawyering up on your end, LiLo.

That lady should get no peace. She started a bunch of shit and had no problem talking to the press and paparazzi, but now that she is exposed as a liar she doesnt want to talk. She deserves everything that is coming to her. No the DA should not back off of Lindsay. They have a job to do to uphold the law which Lindsay loves to break. She thinks she can get away with anything, because she has. Point of the matter is, Lindsay was accused of violating her probation and assault. The DA has to investigate. If they didnt go forward looking into this, people would be in an uproar saying she is getting off becuase of her celebrity. The DA is damned if they do, Damned if they don't, atleast thier doing thier job and upholding the law.

The DA is riding on Linday Lohan's coat tail for publicity and name recognition….b/c he knows people like you and the gossip media will be picking it up and giving him the publicity he wants.

anyone with a brain knows holland got bought off. that's why she won't talk. it's not because nothing happened. i think events are pretty much as she said before the money was paid to silence her. perez, you're so far up lindsay's ass, i imagine you need a flashlight.

Bottom line… she violated her probation by not submitting a breathalyzer. Its the same as coming back dirty. A direct violation of her probation.

  7. 7

This DA is obviously looking to run for higher office and is using Lindsay to get recognition. In my opinion, he should be fired.

I believe that dawn was telling the truth but money talks AND shuts people up! Which is the case here im glad someone is finally going after this spoilt entitled bitch she violated her probation and of story.

Every action has a reaction - hers is just coming a little later than most… I mean you can't run around like an idiot for YEARS and think a stint in jail/rehab will cure it. I mean shoot - these punishments (jail/rehab) stem from 2007 and we all know HOW MUCH went down btwn then and now… it's just about start for her!

Lindsay doesn't deserve peace. If she didn't have a shit ton of money and name recognition she would be in jail right now for a long time for all the shit she pulled. I'm sorry, I don't feel bad for her.

Well, if she HAD pressed charges originally, and then did this about face, would she have been held in contempt? Probably not. I think they just wanted to find out what really happened. Anyway, there were witnesses.

Re: gerry in sf – You think so? The DA probably wants to pursue an assault committed by a chronic and habitual offender if it did happen as this woman originally claimed to the world. It's the DA's job, and their doing it.
For some people, facing justice is their only chance to turn themselves around for real.

Re: @v@ – I'm staying right now in my Pakm Springs home which is part of Riverside County, I know several people who works at the Betty Ford Center and they're saying that it was more of an argument than assault. Dawn was fired b/c she talked to the press and won't press charges, Even in more serious crimes like rape or burglary, if the alleged victim doesn't cooperate or press charges, the prosecution doesn't have a case. I wouldn't be surprised if Paul Zellerbach runs for State Attorney General… Gov. Jerry Brown's old job.

  15. 15

They have to investigate a crime if it happened. Just because Holland doesn't want anything to do with it doesn't mean that they just let it go. That's their job!

  16. 16

If a suspected domestic abuse victim backs away from prosecuting her attacker, I believe the police have the right to go after the abuser anyway. It's up to them, if they suspect the law has been broken. And in those cases, maybe they assume the victim might have been pressured to withdraw the complaint.

Re: gerry in sf – Interesting. DA might also want to get to the bottom of it BECAUSE it's so high profile and eyes are on them. Those people from Betty Ford who you say are talking to you also technically shouldn't be. It's still hearsay unless they tell the DA what they saw.

  18. 18

    It's clear the D.A. want publicity…

  19. 19

This DA should be investigated! Outrageous! He is wasting taxpayer money and time! He's the one that should be looked into.

Sounds to me like the DA just needs to let go before he finds his own ass handed to him on a platter.
