Good-looking guy. Looks can only take you so far. He needs to prove his acting ability. The Twilight series has not done this for any of the stars. Kristen was excellent in "The Runaways" so I know she can act. We will see what Rob can do in the new Cronenberg film.

Not only his acting ability questionable to say the least but his BANKABILITY. What the hell outside of the Twilight films he's never opened a movie on his own name. Hollywood is retarded, don't bother to see if he can draw an audience outside of those stupid movies, just pay him a ton of money and hope for the best.

I love it when the majority of people have no faith in one person and then that person proves them wrong- I am waiting for Mr Lautner to prove his naysayers wrong - by the end of the year people will marching to a different drum!! that is all I'm going to say- watch this space..

I just don't know. The best impression I have of him is from Shark Boy and Lava Girl, because obviously Twilight isn't much for good writing or acting, and I think he lacked charisma when he hosted SNL.
Personally I'm more excited about the prospect of Emma Watson being cast in this movie than anything else.
