Looks like The View may have some competition!

CBS' daytime talk show, The Talk, received its biggest audience ever for the week ending January 7.

The show, which is co-hosted by Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Leah Remini, Holly Robinson Peete, and Marisa Jaret Winokur, delivered 2.3 million viewers and beat One Life to Live in the 18-49 demo.

Pretty strong, ladies! We bet by next year this show will be a bona fide hit!

they need a couple more women because everyone knows listening to a group of women talking is like the sweetest symphony

that marisa girl looks like "me too, me too - don't forget about me" in the above pic………..

I love this show it's fresher then the view i like the view once in awhile but the ladies are i don't know maybe losing it's appeal Shari is a loud mouth and boring! Elizabeth is was too serious and too political for my liking (i bet no one really likes her and opinions) Whoopi and Barbara are old. JOY kinda rocks.

Get rid of Leah Remini and I might actually watch this show. It's 100% improvement over The View.

I think this show is pretty funny. It's a lighter version of 'The View', and more fun to watch.

Glad to see Sara Gilbert getting to work. I always like her acting better than her sister's.

How is this possible?! I watched three minutes one day a while back, and Lisa Remini talked, give or take one nano-second, two minutes and fifty-nine seconds. Wasteful, garbage, trash.

That show is horrible-i saw it a couple of times —-and leah and sarah gilbert just bicker back and fourth about her vegan lifestyle—sarah gilbert has the personality of a broom stick —which is strange cause she was so funny as darlene on roseanne—-and leah kept screaming about "douche bags" or something —it was all too bizzare considering its suppose to be a show about parenting and teaching your kids from right and wrong—-the other 3 hosts are tolerable but its such a crap show

They only did well because The View was on hiatus that week. That Asian chick is annoying. Will she ever stop talking about her husband? She acts as if the show is all about her.

Re: iloverickymartin – Hold on… Melissa Gilbert's been cast in dramatic roles, and it's normal to prefer comedic actors. Some of Melissa's roles were incredibly touching, and her role on Little House got her a plaque on the Hollywood Walk of fame. Sara is the epitome of wryness with bullseye deadpan delivery.

I wasn't sure about the show at first but now I really like it. As with any show you really have to watch it more than once to get to where you know and understand each individual and their dynamic as a group. I absolutely loved the show they did on Monday giving tribute to the individuals in Arizona who lost their lives, each lady saying something about the individual who they were and how their family would like us to know them was truly touching, and the ladies showed beautiful emotion. I love the show and they love they seem to have for one another.

It's almost always about motherhood and children. What about those of us who don't/can't have children? There is nothing in it if you're not a mother. That Julie's husband is the boss and you can see it in all of their faces. They watch what they say not to upset her. She comes of high and mighty with high standards. Didn't she get pregnant witha married man? I think many will stick with the view. More varied topics.

What did they do to Holly's face?! o_O

They are an annoying, watered down, dumbed down version of 'the view.' Boring as hell.
