Well deserved!

Dame Julie Andrews will receive the lifetime achievement award at this year's Grammy Awards.

She previously won a Grammy in 1964 for best recording for children for her role in Mary Poppins.

So sweet!

Dolly Parton and The Ramones will also be honored at the ceremony.

President of The Recording Academy, Neil Portnow, says:

"These influential performers and brilliant innovators have been of great inspiration to our culture and industry. Their legendary work has left a lasting impression and will continue to influence generations to come"

With a career spanning over 60 years, we couldn't think of a better recipient of the awards. Congratulations to Miz Andrews!

Wow. What a beautiful and talented lady. And a class act, too. Just watched "Sound of Music" for the first time last night (finally) - she was fabulous, and definitely the best part of the movie. Totally deserving of the award.

Re: xcalibur – You know why she can't sing as well anymore? Because she had throat surgery which left her unable to sing for a number of years. She was promised by her doctor she would get her voice back in two weeks, unfortunately she never regained the talent she once had. It's took a lot of hard work and determination for her to get at the level she is at now.
So I suggest you stop trolling on every celebrity you see on Perez Hilton and either get a life and get some facts before you make unjust statements.

Re: xcalibur – That's the best you got, Troll? If you know the story why make that comment? Because you are a troll, nothing more. All you do is make rude comments, I have yet to see a nice comment. Is your life honestly that sad and pathetic this is what makes your day? Do you get a kick out of being rude about people who will never see your comments and arguing with people you will never meet? I feel sorry for you.
