iTunes And Safari To Become One?

| Filed under: Tech TalkBusiness Blitz

itunes and safari rumored to become one

Maybe next they can also add an application that automatically transforms your PC into a Mac when you install iTunes. LOLz.

According to a new rumor from Three Guys and a Podcast, Apple plans to combine iTunes and Safari into one application, which would force PC users to adopt Safari as a web browser…or at least allow it to take up hard drive space on their computers.

Here's what a source had to say about Apple's plan to combine iTunes and Safari:

“Moving iTunes organizational side-bar into Safari isn’t a monumental task. Safari would skyrocket in use as a result of integrating the software titles together.”

Based on the rumor, Safari Tunes could surface as soon as early Fall.

Sounds pretty cool to us…then again, we love us some Apple apps!

How do U feel about an iTunes/Safari combo?

I expect Apple to push out new products and updates faster than ever over the next couple of months….especially since investors are going to get restless about being kept in the dark yet again about Jobs' health. Gossiping about potential death is tasteless but three health releated absenses has to have Apple nervous since Steve Jobs is Jesus to the Apple audience. Then again, maybe he'll resurrect in another ten years like he did last time.

interesting, not sure if I like it.

The latest version of Safari is very very slow, so I don't think I will go back to using it even with Itunes integrated.

Yuck, bad idea. Just like Apple not using flash! I hate Safari. I hate companies who force us to adopt their crappy software

If they can get safari to work right it would be fine. It's a nice browser, but the damn thing crashes way too often. They deff have some work to do before this goes public. Besides people are still reeling from the last damn upgrade they made us take.

thats stupid. i dont need that safari crap on my computer.

It'd save me the hassle of keeping both open all the time. As long as it doesn't slow things down, I'm all for it. Don't think it'll happen though. iTunes is slow as all hell.

Very smart on their part. It will force a better compatibility online with Safari overall.

ugh, Safari sucks. I have a MAC and I don't use it; I also don't know any other MAC users that have Safari set as their default browser.

It's slow and crashes a lot. (this computer I have isn't even a year old yet)
