Italian Groups Jealous Furious About Jersey Shore's Road Trip To The Homeland

They're at it again! UNICO is pissed and now we're all going to hear about it.

The Italian-American organization that made all the fuss when The Jersey Shore first made it on the air in the first place is voicing their "concerns" again, this time because they're furious MTV is sending their crew to Italy next season.

A rep for UNICO told sources that sending Snooki and Co. to Italy would make the locals look like "buffoons and bimbos," adding:

"People used to go to the circus to see the freak show – that is what this will be…It will not only hurt Italians but all Americans … their outrageous, reprehensible behavior will make us look like buffoons and bimbos."

Aw, c'mon! Lighten up! Everything's going to be fine.

Hey, maybe they'll take a trip to the Vatican and the Pope will set them straight…or he'll start fist pumping, we'll see! Ha!

These assholes all need to go on a diet and stop drinking and mainly, for the gift that it would be to humanity, drive off a cliff.

  2. 2

Maybe someone should mention how offensive a term like "freak show" is…hypocrite.

  3. 3

I knew this was going to piss them off but come on! Their actions and behavior is not going to make Italy look like bad, because they are FROM America!! If anything it will make the US look worse, if that is the case who really cares anyway… UNICO needs to worry about prominent problems that are worth worrying about, not a reality show that is coming to "THEIR" country and taping for a mere 3 months. At the end of the day the only ones who make them look or seem ridiculous is themselves for causing such a stink over something so petty!!

  4. 4

    God you're an idiot.

  5. 5

That is so stupid.. I would like to know where the Rep or individuals that belong to UNICO live? Do they live or visit the Unites States? If so then they should not return or live in America! How arrogant.. to think they can dictate who goes to Italy? Please.. people are not busting down the doors to live in Italy.. in this economy Italy is lucky to have visitors.. moron..

  6. 6

The pope wont understand… hes not even italian!!….

hey maybe this will be good for italy… if anything, boost the tourism if they see how fun it is?

  7. 7

Listen, I myself am an Italian-American with a big traditional Italian family…. and I LOVE the Jersey Shore but I think them going to Italy is a mistake. As we all know, Italians are huge on tradition/culture and if they see the cast of Jersey Shore as the "Stereo typical Italian-American" they might take it as mocking and offensive. I really think they would get their asses handed to them… and see that being Italian isn't just being Tan and fist pumping.

  8. 8

no one will even noticed them in italy, italians have enough on their plate with the scandals of their underage-prostitute-loving leader.

  9. 9

I think ther all provide endless entertainment. I would love to bump in to them in Italy and show them how the europeans party. Leave them alone, you don't like them then why are you reading up on them? hmmm….

Re: SomePeopleAreJust STUPID – Same with me. That's exactly what I was saying about the whole thing. It's really not a good idea to mix what their interpretation of what an Italian-American (orange, fist pumping, steroids, starting fights with people) is supposed to be, with real Italians. They're gonna end up with major culture shock. Especially if one of them gets into any legal trouble, which some of them have a history of doing on the show, they'll probably be screwed and/or tossed out of the country. Their behavior will not work in Italy.

  11. 11

    Why are they even going?!?!
Most of them aren't even Italian anyway…..

  12. 12

    you are SUCH a tool!
Remember when this show premiered and you dissed this show!
    This show sucks!!!

  13. 13

Re: #Cejers – twu twu twu!

  14. 14

most of them aren't even Italian. Stupid.

  15. 15

the only ones who will look like idiots will be the cast themselves and those who emulate them. Let 'em go. Maybe they're realize a thing or two.

  16. 16

lol unico is kind of right but then again there are some sick rave parties in italy…….

  17. 17

Something tells me these assclowns will get DENIED from every place they go, and Italians will point and start laughing at them. I'd be willing to bet on it.

Re: Tink66 – Italy has one of the best economies at the moment and one of the best education systems. You run your mouth but have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. UNICO is based in the US

  18. 18

Anyone who has ever actually been to Italy and dealt with born-and-raised Italians knows that the Jersey Shore cast acts better than an Italian native. Real Italians, living in Italy, are rude, tend to be thieves, and obnoxious. I'm sorry that the cast will have to deal with Italians!

  19. 19

what, are they afraid they'll steal the thunder from their own scandal-ridden country with a hooker-and-orgy-lovin' president? please, the Italians are yet another bunch of hypocrites worrying about these harmless idiots tainting their shores while their own backyard is full of scum.

  20. 20

No I will not lighten up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am an Italian American female student who studied abroad in Sicily, Italy for 5 months so I know what it is like to be an American living in Italy. Let me tell you its Hell. We Americans have this fantasy about romantic Italian men who sweep you off your feet…bullshit. Because Snooki is a slut and most all other Americans on TV are portrayed as sluts, I automatically was labeled as a slut and skeezy Italian men assumed I would go home and sleep with them. I had to sweat my ass of in the heat of summer because I was too embarrassed to wear a tank top (even if it wasnt revealing) and I could not go out and have a drink with girlfriends without getting pestered by Italian men. It was shit and hell and I hate American pop culture for it. I swear to God, if they film Jersey Shore in Italy I am going to fucking kill someone.

  21. 21

Re: Brains of the Operation – I've been to Italy many times along with having many family members living there, and have never come across anyone like that. Maybe it's because I have citizenship there and speak the language, but that's not how real Italians act. They are way more pleasant to deal with than anyone on Jersey Shore. EVERY country has rude people like that

  22. 22

Re: catherinepia – But Snooki is not even Italian. She was born in Chile and raised by Italian-Americans. There's no room for Italy-Italians to be offended. But of course, they will be. Because they're jerks.

  23. 23

because im sure theres NO whores and sluts and assholes already in italy….

  24. 24

    Re: Brains of the Operation

I take personal offense to that.

  25. 25

I wish UNICO would shut the hell up!!! Noone cares!

  26. 26

I can't blame them… This group is a joke and a poor example of Italians, as well as people from New Jersey… I wouldn't want them "representing" my heritage–especially for those who don't know that much about the area/people, anyway… I wish all of the "fans" would hurry up and get over this disaster!! Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it's going to go anywhere anytime soon…

  27. 27

Well, being I Italian, I'm not happy for the cast to come over here.
They couldn't even point out on a map where Italy is!!! Letting alone the fact that Italian American people have developed their own culture, that is definitely different from who we are here. It would be awkward and embarrassing.

  28. 28

To be honest, I don't think Americans look very good in the eyes of the Europeans. It bugs me to think that there is even a need for such organisations like UNICO… honestly, there is an organisation for everything in the states, and they're only used to complain, so across the pond all we hear is stupid american organisations whining about something or other.

Maybe everyone should lighten up. As a european I genuinely like the cast of jersey shore, and I don't lead a lifestyle similar to theirs at all. So maybe UNICO should stop complaining, because they're starting to look like the idiots, not the cast of Jersey shore who are making money because people clearly like them.

i'm italian, living in italy, and i see them simply as americans.
they're not my kind, i find them wiredly funny and totally useless on tv.
i'm just disapointed on how american shows usually picture my country and it seams this time will be full of stereotyps again.

perez is so desperate to take away stereotypes from latinos, i just can't stand this double standard.

  31. 31

    Re: Tink66
yeah, but it's ok for you to dictate who can come and go in this country. I didn't know you were the president. all hail the chief….

  32. 32

    Re: catherinepiaRe: catherinepia
why were you so afraid to wear a tank top. It sucks you weren't a strong enough person to stand up for yourself and to not allow yourself to be treated that way in italy. But don't blame american culture for that, sweetie that's your problem not americas…

  34. 34

ok this is too much. i'm an italian american and i watch jersey shore bc its stupid and entertaining. them going to italy is ridiculous. they are either going to contaminate italy w our american ways or they are going to get there asses handed to them..either way this is a bad idea

  35. 35

I heard the embassy denied the visa because of Ronnie's criminal record anyways, so chances are that this won't happen for a while since they aren't letting MTV pull any strings. Unless they decide to go without Ronnie, they have to wait until his pending charges are settled, which could be a while. And I doubt they will go without him

  36. 36

I think it will be funny to see The Situation and all the guys getting culture shock and NOT getting half as much ass as they get in the US. Italian girls are religious and do NOT put out as much as the trash these boys are used to. The only people who WILL get more ass then usual will be Snooki and the girls, cuz they are just as slutty as real Italian men! The men there will LOVE the girls, and the Italian women there will HATE the men! TV gold :)

  37. 37

P.S. I would also like to add, I dont see this turning out well… and a lot of them ending up keeping Amanda Knox company in jail!

  38. 38

Re: vanessa.julia.lutz – Italian men may be slutty, but they have pretty high standards, and they're very verbal about it. They aren't afraid to tell a girl to her face if they think she is completely unattractive, or fat. They like easy girls who are also hot. There's a good chance that the girls will get just as much rejection as the guys, if not more. It would be pretty hilarious to see none of them get any play

  39. 39

i am italian and i can tell you we arent all bad people like some of you said,of course there are idiots but they are everywhere.Italy is one of the most beautiful place of the world, with a long history and some of the most important writers, philosophers, scentists, our cuisine is one of the best in the world, we had great actors, fashion designers, and artists in general, and we had incredible city like Venice,Rome and so on…Italy is not all about pizza mafia and mandolino.. like America is not only about Sluts,Fast foods and fat people.Stop talking about stereotypes!
