Teen Mom's Jenelle To Sign Over Son's Custody To Mother

We think she's absolutely making the right move in signing over temporary custody of her son to her mother.

She needs to focus on getting herself together, and we think this is the best course of action for everybody involved.

Perez this isn't news anyone who watches MTV sees the millions of commercials running on a daily basis that told us she was in fact signing over custody.

This girl is such trash. She is the epitome of trash- hopefully, if her mother has to raise the poor child full time, hopefully she'll do a better job this time around because as we can ALL see, her raising of Jenelle was a monster FAIL.

I HATE the mother she is so fucking annoying. Anyway, its good she signed over temporary custody after she gets her shit together, has a JOB, & somewhere to live on her own she should try to get custody back (19-21 years old)

No matter what you think of the teen mom or the teen's mom, all that matters is the well being of the child. You could argue that her mom failed in raising her because she got pregnant in high school, but this girl is making a very smart move. She can't even financially support the kid, and that little boy doesn't deserve to get caught in the middle. This girl could have very easily just dropped her child off at her mom's house, day and night, but she's being responsible this once. You can say anything you want about her, but after this, you can't argue that she doesn't love her baby.

Taking all responsibility off of you and having an opportunity to spend your money on more drugs and continue to party? You could easily argue she doesn't love her baby.

I don't know her motives, but it's dumb to say that proves she loves her kid.

I will first admit I have never seen this show, so I don't know the background on this girl or why she is signing over her rights. My question is, why would her mother not simply help her raise her son w/out the legalities of guardianship? I have known many parents who helped raise a child and didn't become the legal guardian, once the mother (or father) got their acts together, they simply resumed parenting…I don't know the situation here, but something seems very shady from the clip presented here.

Jenelle's mom is soo fucking stupid and a complete control freak! She should not be raising this child and neither should Jenelle herself because she gets drunk and does drugs. And she will be able to support her child sooner than later because they make 280 000 dollars on Teen Mom remember

Girl needs to give her baby up for adoption. The mother is as awful as the daughter. The child would be better in our horrible foster care system than living with this family.

She said that because she is not responsible enough to leagally take off w/ her child whenever she wants and her mom make daycare and medical decisions because her daughter is neglectful or has been arrested for drug possesion…..that is why. HER MOTHER BEGGED HER to take care of the baby or give the boy up to a loving couple she DID not want to raise another baby and yes maybe she felt like she failed with her daughter……YEAH REAL SHADY!

Jennelle's mom is too controlling. She wouldnt let her daughter pick out the baby's outfit, shes always trying to hold the baby when Jennelle wants to hold him. Jennelle needs to get it together, but if that were my mom Id be crazy too!

Re: Wenchtits – No, it's dumb to say she doesn't love him. Even if she was giving him up so she could go party, she could still be selfish and keep her son like all other mother's do in this world. Have you thought about it from all sides?
The fact of the matter is, no matter her motives, she's giving up her son for something better than what she knows she can give him, and that's love. Think about it, it's not that hard of a concept to grasp.

Yeah, she doesn't have a mother to nag her or a baby to bog her down now. She's free to end up dead in a gutter if she wants now. It's not love (well, self-love) if you're just thinking about yourself.

She treated that baby like it was a toy to play with whenever she wanted and when mom wanted to take over, threw a temper tantrum and scream how it was hers and she couldn't have it. Real love there.

You know, she may be trash -I agree with that lol- but she is at least acknowledging that she needs to change. People make mistakes and for anyone to judge her and say she'll never change, is really out of line. Some people do change and some people don't. She mentioned how her dad just walked out and she doesn't want to do that… right there is most of her problem. She needs mental help before she gets her child back… really.

I hope she's smart enough not to destroy her child's life with ignorance. Hopefully if she does get him back, she can raise him to be a decent person. I don't know though, white trash is white trash…

People are so cruel. These young girls are just trying to make their lives better and how many of us wouldn't want the kind of money they are making to show their faults and problems? I appluad them for trying to make their lives better. They just need for people to stop judging them so harshly. Give them a damn break already!

Re: Wenchtits – Regardless of what you say, she could have dragged that baby down with her (that's even ASSUMING it's the case, which you're just arguing a "what if" at this point.) She could have easily said "Fuck whatever happens to that baby, all I care about is me, me, me." So what if it is all she cares about, at least she's getting things taken care of first, and that baby's well being was first on the list for her. So really, at this point, anything you say further holds no weight, because regardless, she did right by that baby, no matter he motives. Why are you so butt hurt about it anyway? Did she shit in your Cheerio's or something?

P.S. I hate how her mother talks… she has a Jay Leno chin with a southern lisp. She's annoying as fuck, and if i had to hear her voice all day Id be messed up too. Not defending Jenelle… she just sucks at life on her own.

I will say, Jenelle is definatly not my favorite person. I really dont think she thought there was a problem with what she was doing, put the baby to bed, go out. And its not bad to do that every once in while, but every night is a bit much. However the mom (grandma) is crazy. Watching the show you see that the grandma wont let Jenelle do ANYTHING. If Jenelle dresses him, she changes him, Jenelle does everything wrong. I can see that getting old realy quick. However i do think Jenelle needs to change, however the mom does too. They could both work together to provide a good home for that child and the granda could try and teach Jenelle, instead of saying your wrong. And Jenelle needs to learn to stay home.

She should just give the kid up for adoption permanently. Her mother (the child's grandma) shouldn't have to suffer for the rest of her life to pay for her daughter spreading her legs for 10 minutes.
