Woman Runs Over Cousin Because Of A Facebook Friend Request!

This is absolutely crazy and awful!

A Long Island woman ran over her cousin twice with a mini-van and then left her for dead in freezing temperatures all because of a Facebook friend request.

According to the New York Post, the fight broke out between Melanie Spanopoulos and Giselle Penagos during the car ride home from a bar.

Melanie's lawyer claims Giselle became furious when she found out a "potential love interest" accepted her cousin's friend request and not hers.

The two ended up wrestling on the side of the road before Spanopoulos got back in the car and ran Penagos over and then again in reverse, leaving her with a broken leg and shattered pelvis

Ouch.

A man eventually pulled over and asked if they needed help, to which Melanie offered him $20 to take Giselle to Queens. They both pulled away, but the good Samaritan came back 5 minutes later and took the girl to her dad's house.

At her arraignment on Tuesday Spanopoulos' lawyer Dennis Lemke said she was innocent.

    thankfully she lived. not many people live after being run over twice.. but wtf that woman who ran her over is physco. no potention love interest is worth that.. jeeze

    i hope the guy who sent the friends request sees this and stays FAR away from these women. Imagine what she can do to him. He's a love INTEREST!!! NOT EVEN A BF!

    Oh good, another jacked-up trailer trash mess. WTF is wrong with everyone in this story? The "good samaritan left for 5 minutes and then came back and took the girl to her dad's? How about the hospital? Sounds like a "mediocre samaritan" to me.

    Melanie's lawyer said Giselle was furious, but Melanie ran Giselle over with the car, then backed up and ran over her again! Sounds like Melanie was the pissed off one and it also doesn't sound like she was innocent. Don't know why I am trying to apply logic to stupid hill jacks….
